I am not a Yahoo employee nor a member of any advisory group nor do I speak for Yahoo in any manner. My comments are what I have learned from reading the CGs, ToS and Forums - here is my OPINION:
First, YA did not delete your question. At least one (maybe more) other member(s) reported it for any number of reasons. There are literally millions of questions active at any one time on YA. There's no way they can have a YA Team member check them all. So, my theory is, depending on the "trust status" of the person(s) who reported your question (and your "trust status" based on your previous record), it was deleted on the theory that better safe than sorry, or delete first, read later... if he appeals.
IMHO, It is highly unlikely that anyone from the YA Team actually reviewed your question - especially on Thanksgiving night. But enugh "trust status" members reported it to cause its deletion.
As I understand the process, a YA Team member actually looks at it when you appeal. Those whose questions are deleted have the option to appeal. That's when the question is looked at by a member of the YA Team, a decision is made and it either stays deleted or is reinstated with your points.
The "trust status" part was initiated recently to fix some problems with the procedures, help legitimate members with troll problems etc. Over time, those questions/answers/members you report, and the reports against you are graded and you develop a "reputation" of sorts that gives YA a feel for your questions and answers.
These are all fed into the hopper and your question either stays or goes when reported. I probably don't have the exact process perfectly correct here - but I suspect it's pretty close, and this is what I’ve gleaned over the past couple of months since the new process was activated. You can get more information in the Forum section.
Those others who answered your question are correct though. All caps, lots of exclamation points, ranting etc. doesn’t help your cause. This is Yahoo's site, they make the rules and frankly I agree they are doing their best against a service that really exploded and presented them with a huge success. It also caused some problems with the sheer numbers involved.
So if you feel you've been wronged, follow the procedure, (calmly) explain your case in the appeal and perhaps your question will be reinstated.

Here is my take on it:
I think the thumbs up/down is there to help gauge the question given by an individual. If an question gets x amount of thumbs down then a red flag goes up at the yahoo police headquarters and a little old peter falk character does a quick scan of your last five or 10 questions to get the jest of where you are coming from. To be fair this individual between takes of I love Lucy reruns and leave it to beaver deems it to be verifyable bad question or borderline nutty but plain jane vanilla no need to call out the mounties kind of question. If the question is deemed unsatisfactory then it is bumped up furthur up the chain to be filtered down to the root cause of the said alleged THOUGHT involked by the player(that's you) After they bounce around the question before a Sanhedron of 12 or more semi professional parental consent volunteers, then you either get the proverbial threatening we have removed this question as offensive.... to the old file 13 ,start all over again, and try to be nice in the forum, kind of email

Please calm down. The same thing just happened to me on a question I asked a while ago. They said I was "chatting" but I was doing what many people do here...asking for opinions! I think it was overlooked but I'm not freaking out because I know I didn't do anything wrong. I know how you feel man...I was very upset myself...
I wonder, why can't Yahoo worry more about the people online who are stalking and harassing others and people who use profanity on their sites! Its like they have a double standard!

Yahoo deleted it because someone reported you. Which is not hard to believe since you are breaking many rules right now.
This is a place for all ages to come and you are ranting and using foul language.

The questions are only open for a few days and I am sure they sent you an extention email which you neglected to properly respond to.

Lay off the weird caps and punctuation. It makes for a more readable question. Also, be nice to Yahoo. They are working Thanksgiving and they have no lives.
