As someone said "wisedom is gained in classrooms and with ministers not in a warzone" but I disagree. I think that in real life with all opinion is where you gain wisedom, a "warzone".That way you learn by yourself and in my opinion that wisedom is much better than having someone tell you everything and to never see ther other sides of the argument. All I think is that I need a bible and to be saved as far as being a christian goes, but I do occasionaly go to church. What do you think?

I was just wondering, since Jesus said that the sole reason God created women in the first place was to provide company and service to men (1 Corinthians 11:9), God determined that men would be lonely living alone, so he created women purely to keep men company and serve their needs (Genesis 2:18-22). I suppose this means that women are therefore completely subordinate to men (1 Corinthians 11:3). It stands to reason, though, that once men enter the Heaven, they will be one with God, and will no longer be lonely and in need of mortal companionship. So does this mean that women don’t have souls? Also, where do they go when they die?

I'm talking print media here, specifically media interviews. It often seems that the 'subject' being interviewed is selectively quoted/ misquoted to suit the particular agenda the (allegedly impartial) journo is running. I speak from personal experience here - I was interviewed for my local newspaper recently and the article that came out was complete crap! For example, it said that I had 'started playing piano to escape her sad childhood'....what I actually said was, 'I didn't have a great time when I was younger, but I think everyone has those sorts of periods in their life' and this was in a response to a question posed by the journo herself!
I may be going on to much about this, but people need to relise that what you read in a media interview is only one-sided - so much gets lost in translation, and words are often taken out of context just like mine were. Thoughts anyone?

I told my mom that the movie The Golden Compass looks like a good movie and she freaked out on me. She started going on about how only "devil worshipers" would go see that and how its VERY Anti-Christ. So I asked her what about it was Anti-Christ and she was just like Uh Well its not important (She just goes along with what everyone tells her; she lets people shove their beliefs down her throat; I dont think she has the ability to think for herself; all she does is follow the crowd and when I was to be my own individual person she freaks out, but thats beside the point.

I want someone to explain to me what about this move is Anti-Christ

If you read from my previous question, you'll know my dad's christian and my mum's muslim. I hate it how my dad is ALWAYS insulting muslims and islam. Out of the blue. And he's so racist about it sometimes. I don't support any of them on religion but i can see my dad's being so rude about it. Even if a certain topic has nothing to do religion he'll just start linking it to islam and start saying all that ****. I feel sorry for my mum. She's not exactly fond of christians but at least she isn't rude about it or insult it. It's so unfair sometimes. I feel like saying something but he's pretty hot tempered so yeah. He knows i dont have a thing for religions and he told me not to discriminate religions or those who has religions..etc.. and he said All religions, but there he is always insulting islam. and i mean ALWAYS.During the time when we were talking about religion, or to me, to my sis, and ESPECIALLY to my mother. Ergh, so what do i DOOOOOo.

So I work at Circuit City and have to be there at 4 am for Black Friday. I'm planning on leaving my house at 3:15 just in case there is traffic that early, cause people are crazy. So I'm going to take a shower at 2 and get dressed. And I know if I try to go to sleep, I'm either not going to wake up when I need to or it's going to make me more tired. If I laid down now, I'd only get 3 hours and that's if I fell asleep instantly. And that doesn't look like it's going to happen heh. So, I'm yawning a lot...coffee doesn't wake me up, just makes me have to pee a lot. What can I do to stay awake?

If you go to heaven and your mother goes to hell, will it really be heaven?

Is heaven a guilty pleasure?

Is heaven a selfish desire?

Remember Paris Hilton, queen of raunchy sin? Remember when she found Jesus?

Have you noticed that, since then, she hasn't sinned at all?

Put that in your atheist pipe and smoke it!

(By the way, this also proves the liberal bias in our media. They've started to ignore her because they don't want us to see just how godly she's become.)

In the above verses we read "if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." The comforter can not be the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost (according to the Bible) was "with" them already (and even quite active) long before the coming of Jesus (peace be upon him) himself and then throughout his ministry. Read for example.
Genesis 1:2 "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
1 Samuel 10:10 "And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them."
1 Samuel 11:6 "And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly."
"Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?" (Isaiah 63:11)
"For he (John the Baptist) shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15)
"And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee." (Luke 1:35)
"And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost" (Luke 1:41)
"And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying," (Luke 1:67)
"And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him." (Luke 2:25)

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"
John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."

In response to my previous question about whether a God would accept believers of other faiths into heaven if they had led a good life:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071122194508AAqwK9v&pa=FYd1D2bwHTHwLb9hHOM.QXOWFwMSwwzBefwqOh.XeyTiJdF.TCxBT5Rc1MwcBI7bdKeG4gYDXRX86Q--&paid=asked&msgr_status=

Some of the people concluded that "no, you had to accept Jesus Christ to get into heaven".

In which case, what happens to people living in countries who've never even heard of Christianity?
They could be leading perfectly good lives, but don't stand a chance of getting into heaven?

(I know this is a stretch in today's world, but 200-300 years ago, there were most certainly tribes and probably entire countries that hadn't heard of Christianity - and I assume God was still operating back then).

If given a chance, would you sacrifice yourself to end all the suffering in the world (like hunger, abuse, diseases, wars, political corruption?) But you won't be allowed to die just yet, you would have to stand weeks of incredible amounts of physical pain and torturing for all of our sins... If you choose not to do it, the world would stay the same....

I won't to know what you think of this,I am very curious what other think about it.Durning the christian inqusition a lot of people where torturted and killed for not believing what they did or for being a witch all in the name of god. Then durning the witch hunts many where burned for being witches and I think the witch hunts where directed by the church(I would have to double check to be sure)But now many people say witches are fake and not real, whats up with that?So your telling me millions where killed by the church for being witches and now you say there not real.Theres something weird about that, something is being hidden here and either way its a lose lose situtation for the church.
