I have applied fengshui in my life, but now I'm having second thaughts, that alot of it is superstitious. ex: place things in twos in the relationship area, or use certain colors that apply to different areas of home. I believe everything is energy, but what's so wrong with putting the color black in the southern part of your home? I thaught as long as there isn't clutter, and we surround ourselves with the things we love, that's all that's necessary to achieve harmony/balance. Fengshui sais in 2008 we shouldn't sleep or disturb the southern part of our home because it may cause chaos.
I'm at a loss for words now. I'm at the point where I feel fenghui has caused me to have more clutter, just trying to get rid of it!!!!! HELP! This is all not making sense to me anymore.

Mark
7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
7:10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

In other words, you should have done what the old testimant said, and killed your disobedient children.

I thought Jesus brought a new law with him?

Can prayer ACTUALLY cure pain?
Is there such a thing as "thinking" pain away?
Do YOU have the ability to think YOUR pain away, or does your pain need to be managed by a judicious use of pain medications, mixed with prayer?
I live in constant pain & accept it, but it doesn't go away. I have just learned not to make a big deal out of it in my daily life.
But sometimes the pain gets bad and no amount of acceptance is going to make it easier to live with, so I take pain meds and I pray for relief.
Does this make me weak, or a "bad" person? There are so many "gurus" out there spouting off the wall philosophies about how we should live our lives. California seems to be bad for this. Can we believe ANYTHING they say?

Those of you who like to correct and to make fun of people when they make mistakes, how many foreign languages can you speak?

Just how serious is it if a person speaks english pretty good but makes one mistake, one time? Is it serious enough to make rude remarks?

A Christian friend is very concerned that if her body is cremated, her soul will not be admitted to Heaven. She is more concerned with what Scripture has to say about this than in the teachings of her particular Protestant denomination. If you know of specific references to this situation in the New or Old Testament, please answer with Version, Book, Chapter, and Verse number(s).

Critical comments from non-believers will not be appreciated.

I don't know if you all are familiar with this, but have any of you guys heard of this "doomsday" circled around Dec. 23 2012??? Apparently many scientists are considering this, while many others are laughing at them. According to the Mayans (Who basically invented the concept of the calander, and others) believe that will be the end. Along with Nastrodamus, who said the same thing. Just wondering what you all thought. I really don't buy into, but I'm sure some do.

I have been reading/answering many ardent questions and professions of faith concerning Christianity. I respect your right to believe what you wish to believe but how do explain the Crusades. The sole aim being to wipe out ANY opposing view or faith other than Christianity. How do you justify this as a Christian? What excuse do you buy in terms of this? It was malicious and calculated in the name of Jesus, who wouldn't have condoned it. Thank you for your thoughts. As always, all thoughts are welcome.

I've dressed up as a biker, a business person, a housewife etc and gone out in public to get people's reaction. It's amazing how differently I get treated.

Can anyone relate?

I know this will sound very weird to a lot of people because not everyone is spiritual. I'm posting by my personal belief.
Ok, my mom recently passed away, the first thing that comes to my mind is her spirit. I strongly believe spirits exist, couldnt imagine all the stories/real taken photos etc being fake. But anyway as i think the believers can actually see spirits (obviously its unlikely to see a random spirit unless it was your loved one or something), but i really would cherish seeing my moms spirit. People have said they have seen them, one of my friends always tells me his dead sister is always with him as a spirit. If your a non believer of this subject i understand you'll probably not find any of this making any sense what so ever, however to those that do believe... do you think it is possible for me to see my mom if she knows i really want to?
Like i said i couldnt imagine those thousand of people lieing when they say they've seen them. Just some opinions please.

If you could view who was giving thumbs ups/downs would it change how you gave them?

I never give a thumbs down unless it was just a really dumb answer, but have noticed that I get them sometimes for no reason.

I can bet it is mostly the ones here that preach love and God so I count it a plus to get a thumbs down =) just shows how they really are....

christians does it hurt when you try so hard to to be the P.C christian or the stero-typed christian and every time you open your mouth to speak some calls you a freak cuz you can't "prove he is there", cuz no matter what you say it's not proof to them.....and when your done talking to someone about faith you feel you've let God down because you couldn't prove he is there?
this is just a question i just want thoughts i don't want mean answers please

I have nothing against gay people, and think everyone should be entitled to sleep with whoever they want. But why marry and procreate if you know from puberty (or birth) that you are gay? I understand the taboos of society (at least back in the day) but is that really the only reason?
