Jesus said we would be persecuted for His sake.

I don't ever try to convince someone about faith. If a person asks a question about my beliefs in a polite manner, and really wants to know the answer, I'll tell him. But if someone calls me a freak or dares me to prove anything, I don't waste my time on him. He's already made up his mind about the subject and that's that.

I've noticed that many of those who criticize people of faith are the ones with closed minds.

Don't try to be P.C. or stereotypes. Just be yourselves. The greatest advertisement you can make for God is to be good people, live good lives, be generous, kind and loving. If you can't do that, no amount of talking will sway people to your way of thinking. You can't approach people with the assumption that they are wrong because they don't know God, and therefore they can't possibly be happy or intelligent and need God shoved down their throats. It's the same mistake Missionaries make thinking everyone who isn't Western is "savage". Nobody, and I mean nobody, likes to be told they're wrong, especially about things that important. If you can show them a better way, by example not words, then they'll eventually catch on and follow. But you'll never be able to prove anything, so don't even get caught up in that stupid argument.

When people dismiss your views in such a negative way, regardless of what that view is, it always hurts. Religion is a very touchy subject to most people, and it is very difficult to debate when in reality there is no solid facts to back that debate on. What you believe in your heart is what matters most. You are doing nothing wrong when you try to spread your faith, but it will be a little less painful to understand that most people do not simply change their view so easily. Many only become religious when something negative happens in their life where they feel the need to turn to God. So, most of the time you won't be able to change someone's view, just understand that and be happy that you at least tried.

That i expecienced to many times. But that night i go home and pray and read my bible. Come back the next day and said I'm ready to prove that God is real and then i show them verses in the Bible and then that person usually tells me they want to learn more and then i sit there for hours explaining and they come to me like a week later and they told me that they are christians. But sometimes it doesn't work that way!

Here's something helpful for you. God commanded us to teach all nations. If we teach the truth and use every resource we know to use to do it, and they still reject the truth, then we have done our job. It isn't you they reject, it's Christ. Now if you think you learned something that can help you be a better teacher in the future, feel free to learn; however, you can't take the heat for someone else's rejection of the truth.

Doll, of course it hurts. I pray for God to lead you in wisdom. There are many wonderful people with questions that only God has answers to, but, we must remember that Jesus said not to cast our pearls before the swine because they would only trample that blessed treasure under their feet.
Ask God to guide you to those who are hurting, those who are seeking and you will see the fruit of your labor. Many who mock are those who are not ready or will never come to Jesus. I will pray that God will open up new windows of opportunity and show you the joy in reaching those who are already looking.

I bet it does hurt some people's feelings. I asked a question yesterday "If Jesus was proven not to have existed, would you still believe in God" and I got reported. That is not compassionate the way Christians are supposed to be.

We aren't respnsible for proving that God exists, all we're supposed to do is live by the teachings of Jesus, share His Love with the world & invite them to join us by accepting Jesus as their Savior.

No it doesn't hurt because I know who I am in Christ and the reward for following Christ will be so great!

Yes, rejection hurts. Our consolation should be that we please God when we obey Him. He must really love that we do something for Him that hurts us.

Just do your best, pray, continue to do what's right, and equip yourself as best you can.
