All I am seeing in R&S is stuff about the AM. What is it?

Although I help my husband manage a small business, balance a husband, family and homelife, volunteer countless hours and efforts to a worthy and honorable cause, navigate and lead several projects, all while trying to keep myself together, I have trouble knowing when to delegate or what to get help with. As a result, my life has a snowball effect. I can do many things well and I try to do everything. How do I prioritize and gain better balance. How do I find honest helpers and what part of my life should I delegate to them and which part should I never delegate? I don't know where to start? I already know that I need to decrease my load and I have begun to do that.

As topic says, the kind of person who claims there's a reason beyond our understanding for EVERYthing. These morons must sit on their self important pedestal in their little biscuit sheltered suburban home.

Meanwhile, people are living in desolate poverty, their kids probably won't live past 5, live in fear of murder , torture, political oppression, gang/military violence, rape, plagues and diseases, natural disasters destroying their homes and family

And all they get is "There's a reason for everything :D". Hell these ppl need to get smacked and deported to somewhere outside of their bubble.

Yeah I know this isn't a real question.

Should we do it 24/7? Should we let our children know we are afraid? She we teach them to be afraid too? (Doesn't sound nice or practical!)

Although most people say that there is no evidence to support the existence of God, why do you not realize that "no evidence" does not automatically mean "doesn't exist"?
Unless you claim to have absolute knowledge of the universe, you cannot say definitely that God exists. Can you also explain the following?

1. All things must have a creator ( watches have watchmakers, animals have parents, etc...)
2. If all things have creators, that means the universe should also have a creator, seeing as something cannot spontaneously give rise to itself.
3. Therefore, an force outside of the bounds of the universe created it.
4. This must be supernatural and not bound by laws of physics in order to defy law of conservation of energy

So, how do atheists, without proper knowledge, say, "it was NOT God. It could have been anything EXCEPT God..." without commiting the logical fallacy of ad argumentum infinitum?

I have to bring some sort of "artifact" and I've chose to bring in some Irish music. I've all ready found The Chieftains and am looking for other bands and songs with that same old country Irish sound to it. Any suggestions?

In case you didn't already know, the mutaween, a.k.a the "Virtue police", enforce Sharia ("Islamic" law.)

Some of the things which Mutaween arrest people for are:
- Unrelated males and females caught socializing
- Not conforming to Islamic dress-codes
- Selling or eating pork
- Selling or using alcohol
- Not closing your store during the "prayer times"
- Posession of consumer products and media regarded as un-Islamic (such as CDs/DVDs of various Western musical groups, television shows and film).
- Public display of non-Islamic worship
- Evangelism (other than Islam)

In May 2007 a man alleged to have alcohol in his home was arrested and reportedly beaten to death by the Mutaween members in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

15 girls confined by Mutaween in burning building, because they weren't wearing headscarves and black robe, died in the fire @ Mecca

Do you think these kinds of things would happen in USA or UK, if Islam took over?

This is a story from when I was in Rady Children's Hospital.

Med/Surg South

Okay so I had just eaten breakfast and was going to the game room, someone was walking in the same direction as me and I could only see them in the corner of my eye, so I turned and saw a girl with about 5 or more I.V.s on her. I said hi and she said hi back and then one of the nurses stopped her and said she had to have a nurse with her and to wait a few minutes. I continued walking and relized how lucky I was to only have on I.V. ampule in my arm.
The sad part was how innocently high pitched and quiet her voice was, it seemed like she didn't deserve to be in the hospital in that conditon.

She was around 6 years old.

Who finds that sad?

No one would argue that Buddha and Jesus were two of the most righteous men in history. Both were highly respected and worshipped even now that they are long gone.

Buddha was never claimed as possessing supernatural powers or capable of performing miracles; He was rather known for His indepth morality and kind soul.

Jesus was known for His supernatural powers and the miracles He was capable of performing.

When we look at these two great men we must wonder who indeed was the more righteous man.

Buddha was a real person and no one would disclaim His actual existence. His doings would neither be disclaimed as they were no miracles.

Jesus on the other hand is still ambigious in terms of His actual identity. He probably existed, but was He as people claimed Him to be as? Was He just a man but portrayed as a God?
