my dad died in 2004. When i went to see the medium, my dad was there. We were joking around and had some good laughs, but im wondering how to comunicate with my dead father. the medium said to meditate in a quite area and just imagine him sitting across from me. but can i use like a recorder to catch his energy frequensies like on the movie "white noise?" or can i do a saiuance?
if any1 knows a website that has meditation info, please send.

To be honest, I don't place a lot of stock in mediums. They tend to use what's called "cold reading" to cull information from their clients. They speak in very general terms, get you to contribute much of the information yourself, tell you what you want to hear and then rely on your belief in them to fill in the blanks.

I am not posting this to be a hater or rain on your parade. I am doing this because I want you to go into this fully informed. Please read the article I have posted a link to. It's about the methods used by John Edward and other people to "communicate" with the dead.

You're going to get a better response if you post questions like this in the Science & Math/Alternative area.

You have to learn to stop the noise in your own mind so you have "room" to hear him. There's various types of meditation. Find whatever helps you stop your 'engine' and see if you can eventually hear him.

Focus on it right before you fall asleep. At that time, the veil between the two worlds is the thinnest. I have some fun times then ; )

I tried a medium. Had to change it for a large, as it was way too tight.

Let's not be silly about this. All so-called mediums are con-artists, just like faith-healers. Look at Benny Hinn and tell me that you trust that crook?

The Bible frowns upon using "mediums, sorcery, black
magic", or anything like that. Evil spirits sometimes enter
into these dark subjects, so I'd put my trust in the Lord
instead, if I were you.

The best recorder you have is your own perceptions.... sorry.
