Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ, the same yesterday and today and forever. Yep I guess it is, God never changes, we do, he don't.

Yes it has a lot of relevance for today... A bit like the saying that 'history repeats'. The people today are different, meaning different century/ time, cultures. But the same issues, behaviours, and problems arise with people today, the same isssues back then during the biblical times.

The Holy Bible is the source of truth and the 'road directory to life'... There is a good definition I heard what BIBLE stands for:

Basic
Instructions
Before
Leaving
Earth

2 Timothy 3:16 (King James Version)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

At the time of this writing, the only scripture in existence was that which we now call the Old Testament. If the Old Testament (which was several hundred to a few thousand years old) was relevant then, it is still relevant today. Mankind is still dying in their sin, but the good news is that Jesus Christ came and paid the sacrifice for our sins, so that we might be made new in Him.

I’m not sure ‘relevant’ is the word. Some parts are history, and have no practical application in our modern world, but are important because history is important. (I don’t really need to know the size of the Tabernacle, for example. And I have no intention of taking my disrespectful son to the city gates to be stoned.)

Some parts of the Bible are poetry, is poetry ever ‘relevant?’

I think the Bible is important. But it’s also important for people to understand exactly what the Bible is and what it isn’t.

Godspeed.

No, we are living in a new dispensation. We are New Testament saints. Things that occurred in the Old Testament such a animal sacrifices do not apply to us. Jesus Christ was the once and for all Lamb sacrifice.

Insights from great prophets are only applicable to the timeframe they are said in. Most are totally symbolic. None can be taken literally nor after the fact.
