Send your own children to HELL because they disobey you, dishonor you and just do whatever they wanted? Would you send them to eternal flames and suffering?

The media buzz phrase "Politically Correct" is tossed around all the time but is it something to make us better or is it here to rob our right to free expression?

One of the reasons that the WebMD message boards are so successful is because medical providers are not doing their job. There is nothing more frustrating for a patient than (a) not knowing their diagnosis, (b) not having their treatment explained, and (c) not knowing their prognosis (when they would expect to get better). If your medical provider is NOT doing this at every visit, then you will be left hanging in limbo.

How come every time someone takes a swipe at atheists their bad spelling and grammar is atrocious? I mean their facts are usually way off but if you add spelling on top of that they cripple their own argument. Does God not believe in grammar or something?

This gets on my nerves. I know Greeks and Italians who refuse to say they are white, instead saying they are Greek or Italian. Like white people don't come in a variety of colors like any other race does. I even know someone who is mixed with black and whenever someone asks him what nationality he is he says 'black and Italian'. So I'm like 'So you are black and white?' And he says, "No I'm black and Italian'. Since when does one country get to use their nationality as their race? If that's the case, I'm not white I'm German and Irish!

For example, when I was young my grandmother was very abusive somewhat mentally and somewhat physically, I grew to dislike her very much... she would tell me how I was to dress how my hair should be and what toys I was to play with if I wanted to be a lady. I of course resented what she was doing cause me to rebel against her by shaving my hair off, only wearing "boy" clothes and NEVER touching a doll.
As i got older my parents took my out of public school (age 7) I never was around a social group of females or boys for that matter so i never developed a desire to catagorize myself, i grew up developing interest in Math, Physics, computers, the list goes on, to me they were fun and it wasn't until later I started seeing the differences the media and society made for young girls and boys... girls=dolls, boys=monster trucks ... I even saw a comercial for a kids science lab set, but the only people it had playing with it were white males... Why is society so corrupt in this manner?

Equating Christian dissent with intolerance, hatred, and discrimination seems to be popular argument among the people of this world.

Yet Christians clearly tolerate kinky sexual practices. There is no discrimination because all of us have the exact same rules on legal marriage partners (one consenting unmarried non-relative adult of the opposite sex).

Christians don't hate those who don't restrict sex to marriage. We want them to be happy by giving up practices that prevent their reconciliation with God, who is the source of happiness.

It is getting hard to have a reasonable disagreement when one side accuses dissenters of intolerance, hatred, and discrimination.

Hi suffer from depression, anxiety and anger, and from all the books i have been reading and advice from others that suffer from the same issues, they all say i need to get god into my life. But i dont know how, i grew up catholic, and stoped going to church when my parents devorced when i was a kid. I wasnt raised the greatest, and have issues from that, and my husband and his family are pentecostal and ive gone to there church but it kind of scares me, because its like the total oposite from a catholic church. But i want to start praying, and i want to have god in mylife, but i dont know how. And is there anyway i can get over my fear of going to church?

....about the efforts of the New Christian Right to break down the "wall" between church and state? Just to let you know, I am a conservative evangelical Christian, but I am in a minority, as I am a Sabbathkeeping Christian. I am concerned that those who would be my allies today will tomorrow lump me in with all those "godless heathens", when they start enforcing "Blue Laws". Just to give some examples, have you heard of the legal cases "Employment Division v. Smith", "Sherbert v. Verner", "Minversville v. Gobitis" and H.R. 2797? These trends have me concerned about our future. Your thoughts?

All the adult kids seem to be getting on the band wagon for these TV's. Of course the grandkids enjoy playing their video games on them. I have been of the opinion that it wasn't for me even if we felt we could afford it.
But then again I rebeled against getting a microwave or cell phone for years. Now I use both daily. Not so much the cell phone except for staying in touch w/ family when away from the house. Reminds of the days of CB's. Even those days I'd turn it off cuz I needed peace, quiet, and didn't want to be found.
I understand sports fans wanting to see up close and personal although I for one don't need to feel like their sweat is going to drip on me at any minute.
But this old fashioned lady has thought some excellent movies might be great on the big screen. So do you have one? Would you want one?

Now what about spiritual?
Matthew 25:33
He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

(The sheep are the believers and the goats are the unbelievers or those who claimed they were saved but never were)

I am involved in a case with the State of Texas, and one of the things that they are holding against me is that I smoked Marijuana earlier this year that was given to me in Denver, CO. The lawyer didn't believe that marijuana users would just "give" someone two joints, and indicated that the judge wouldn't either. So, in an effort to poll those who do smoke, I have a question, please answer yes or no. And, thank you for your opinion. The more answers I receive, either yes or no, will better establish what happens normally in this country.

Question: Based on your knowledge and experience, do Marijuana users commonly share Marijuana with other people who use Marijuana, with a gift of two joints being a normal, acceptable quantity to give to someone as a gift?

The Church lost the moral high ground in this country a long time ago. I'm voting my own conscience and I'll bet a lot of other Catholics will too. I resent these old bastards having the audacity to tell me how I must vote - especially when the church hierarchy has let us down so badly.
