I am involved in a case with the State of Texas, and one of the things that they are holding against me is that I smoked Marijuana earlier this year that was given to me in Denver, CO. The lawyer didn't believe that marijuana users would just "give" someone two joints, and indicated that the judge wouldn't either. So, in an effort to poll those who do smoke, I have a question, please answer yes or no. And, thank you for your opinion. The more answers I receive, either yes or no, will better establish what happens normally in this country.
Question: Based on your knowledge and experience, do Marijuana users commonly share Marijuana with other people who use Marijuana, with a gift of two joints being a normal, acceptable quantity to give to someone as a gift?

It is almost frowned upon not to share. I have never seen a person with enough cannabis to pass around ever keep it to his or herself. It's a sense of Karma. What goes around comes around, and it works. I've been seeing this for years. Nobody holds back when they have some unless it's their last bit for the night or something, and even then it depends on the persons' mood.
By the way, I'm high right now.

Definitely. My friends and I give each other joints as gifts around the holidays and on birthdays. I have gotten entire bags, pot brownies, multiple joints, blunts, and all kinds of smoking paraphernalia. Marijuana is a very social drug that lots of people enjoy sharing more than they enjoy keeping it to them selves. If you need help with your case you should contact NORMAL. They have great connections and there are probably NORMAL lawyers in your area. Good luck!

Based on my personal experience yes marijuana smokers do often share marijuana in the form of joints. I would say one to two joints is a fair amount to give someone.

Yes it's perfectly normal for marijuana smokers to give free things like some weed or a few joints/blunts. You get somebody and they'll get you back.

Yes one of the most common things for Marijuana users to do is to share it, after all sharing is caring :)
It doesnt matter if you know the person or not, the more people get stoned the merrier.

Yes, I used to smoke marijuana alot, and it is common even for strangers to share some of their weed.It is the "brotherhood" of pot smokers.Alot of times, if someone has some really good weed(killer), they will give you a joint to try.Tell the judge and lawyer to wise up and think outside the box.

All the time. My friends always will give me joints or weed, and I do the same. Its an "ill scratch you back if youll scratch mine" kind of thing. Its an unwritten rule that you hook up a friend in need, and they will return the favor when you are. Its a never ending cycle of love. Not to mention, that girls are given weed a ton. I know multiple girls who smoke multiple times a week, and have never actually bought any weed. They just get it from guys trying to get in their pants.

Yes, this does happen & 2 joints is an acceptable quantity. It's a very social "drug" and as someone already stated, " A friend with weed is a friend INDEED.".

Cops just assume that all drug users are addicts, and addicts don't share.
Pot is way different than other street drugs. I don't think I've ever met a pot smoker who didn't share..
So yes
