here is a start :)
i would not advise praying to any stone or wood statues, or even any dead people...remember the first two commandments, if you don´t, here they are on the second link, in fact, all ten ;) to help you out.

Learn the Bible - Read it - then nothing in that church will scare you.
Neither the catholic church nor the pentecostal church can get you to heaven. You need a relationship with Christ.
Get in His Word and get on your knees and ask the Lord into your life. Either a KJV or a NIV bible will do. Start in the New Testament with the Book of John. This is one of the four gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Catholics don't read the Bible. God gave us His Word to know and study and read and do.
Depression, anxiety and anger are fear based. Perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. God is perfect love.
You need Peace with God, Peace with Others and Peace with Yourself. When you get these three, those other 3 depression, anxiety and anger will go away.

Please know that before I typed this I prayed for you.
God is so much bigger than your smallest problem but I know right now it doesn't feel that way. I would begin by seeking out a good bible teacher/preacher. Go to a church where they teacher the true Word of God without all the bells and whistles. The thing about God and prayer is that He knows what you need without you even asking for it but His Word tells us that His desire is for us to ask anyway, so I would begin there. Don't worry about getting all the words right. Just talk with Him as you would talk to a close friend. Your world won't magically become amazing over night but it does help to know you are not alone and God already has all of your problems worked out. You just need to have faith that He will see you through all of your struggles and pain. As they say, Let go and let God. God bless you.

i have suffered from some of the same issues
to think that all your issues will be gone is the wrong thinking
first you must give up everything you hold on to
give it straight to Jesus Christ.the Bible says accept Jesus
as your Lord and savior repent from your sins that means
turn your back on them and that way of life give Jesus total
control this should be done daily.believe Jesus died on the
cross for your sins and was raised from the dead and you
will be saved.also there are some great pastors that you
can listen to online while you look for a church
loveworthfinding.org,gracetoyou.com,truthsthattransform.com
just to name a few. also to get a good understanding of Jesus
and His life on earth start in the book of John.

Yes, stop believing what other people tell you to believe in. Stop comparing yourself to what other peoples religions teach. Stop letting the past haunt you. Stop being influenced by religions that you don't agree with. The answer: Read the Bible from cover to cover. I mean every word and don't skip anything. Then you will know how to pray. Handle depression and anger. Then you will know for sure what church to join. Sound advise, but will you take it?

I feel that since we were married in a church, God was present there and Blessed our marriage then. He is always in my heart and soul whatever I am doing, good or bad. It is my trust in Him that keeps me going toward more good activities. And the older I become, the more in-tune I feel I become with God...and the more I learn from others and God, the more I understand God and my sexual duties and desires with my spouse and how it is all connected. Which comes full circle proving to me that God is totally in control of my life physically, emotionally, and spiritually. God has played a very important part in my lovemaking/sexual life and I call it devine intervention.....as I have helped other people with problems they have, they have helped me with problems I was having, not physically but emotionally and spiritually, deep within that I didn't know how to repair.

If you haven't started a relationship with God, check out www.godlovestheworld.com to see what the Bible says.
After that, I pretty much talk to Him like He's my best friend. Stuff I'm nervous about. Things I like about Him. How my day is going. I ask for strength. All kinds of stuff.
I'm not Lutheran, but I have friends that are. You might look into their church. Their worship style might be closer to what you are used to. They are a conservative Christian Church.

Praying is nothing more than talking to God. I would suggest going to the back of your bible looking up and studying a few of the prayers. (Hopefully your bible has some of them listed.) If not try looking them up on the Internet. Then I would suggest reading the New Testament, You will get to know Jesus Christ and learn how he expects you to live. If you follow his teachings of how to live and deal with your fellow humans you will then find more happiness and satisfaction in your life than you ever thought possible.

You don't have to go to church to put God into your life. He made everything around you. He's there regardless. Acknowledge Him in your heart and pray silently to him in your mind. He'll hear you. It is ok to talk directly to Him, I know some Catholics don't believe so but men are men and you are no better then the guy who usually sits behind the screen window to hear your sins. Let God in and he'll be there.

When you want to get to know someone as a friend...then you ask questions, take turns talking, and then listening. You take the chance of trusting what they say. You find things to do together. You spend time together. Getting close to God is JUST like that. Praying is talking to God. You do not have to say big words, or have a lot of knowledge about a certain thing in order to pray. He wants to hear you talk to Him about all the things you feel, things that upset you, make you happy...things you want to do in life...how you feel about Him...just EVERYTHING. He will not be bored, He really will listen, He has the time for you. Then your part is to listen back. Go out in nature and listen. God talks to you there too. Read His Word, His instruction book for life. Always pray before you read it that God will give you understanding.
I will pray for you to be close to God and to always put Him first in your life. Email me if you would like to talk to someone.

Dld parable, new twist: Footprints in the Sand- The xtian dies, looks back at his footprints in the sand, sees Jesus' footprints during the hardest time of his life. Jesus says that's when I carried you along.
Odinist dies, looks back at his life of battles and struggles and notices Odins prints are there only when times were good but never there when the times were the hardest and the struggle was the worst. When asked why, Odin replied "Because THAT'S when you got off your *** and did it yourself!"
Basically, your fear of church is normal. You as a human being, are God. YOU have all the abilities to make the changes in your life and praying to a dead God is just a pathgetic pacification of a weak mind. Do it yourself! God isn't going to do it for you.
Make the world your church. Go for a walk in the woods and see Natures Laws and just how small we all really are.
