I am only going to fault those of my own faith who neglect the state of affairs of our world because of constantly looking forward to a rapture or second coming of christ. The mindset these things seem to create is why bother with things. It will get worse no matter what and the whole planet will be destroyed anyways...

Is this what Christ intended?

Wars, mismanagement of our natural resources, hate... It doesn't make sense anymore. None of it does.

We don't know when, if at all, these things will occur.

I'm not going to fault others since I don't know so much about them, I'll leave that up to someone else.

What do you think?

But say they don't believe the book of Mormon because there is no evidence (which isn't true, but that is another question), and there is evidence to support the bible. So are you saying you only believe in the bible because of evidence? Isn't that a contradiction to having faith in God? Are you saying that your beliefs are not based on faith, but on evidence?

the enamel on human teeth is only designed to last 30-40 years. even with excellent dental hygiene (which wasn't the case back then), they'd completely lose their teeth well before their 510th birthday.

Could I decide on my sexuality at 13, or am I too young?
To be honest at the moment I'm not sure I'm totaly straight, but hate to say that word.
The reason I think not is that I really fancy Celine Dion, I just love her so much and think she is a beautiful person on the inside and out. But maybe this is just an infactuation.
Anyway tell me what you think, sorry if you're a bit disgusted at the fact it's Celine Dion, but I can't help my feelings.
Thanks in advance x

Don't write books on things you don't know anything about cause it only makes you sound dumber to the person that knows the real truth.

I mean, you're the one's who are saved, and I don't honestly think (judging from your hateful responses) that you're sad because we'll burn in hell....

Why don't you just ignore our god-bashing questions?

The real picture is that most of you Holier-Than-Thou Christians (like Lion of Judah or Catholic Crusader, not to mention the countless misspelling teens who show their "Christian love") post answers that border on hatred...

Why would any Christian hate a non-Christian's answers? Just keep praying to your god and let us all heathens burn...heck, why would a Christian picket or even vandalize an abortion clinic? Don't you trust your god will come down and help out a bit?

Christians are the ones who post the most rancorous and hatred-filled answers here, and the ones who report the most, statistics talk.....

off from work for six weeks and after a couple of weeks, I found myself pacing from window to window and started noticing my neighbors for the first time. I learned that one neighbor, when checking his mail, opens the flap, gets his mail out and then looks in and closes it, then repeats this six times, exactly.. My other neighbor's teenager, used to sneak her guy friend home while her mom was at work (yes, I told) I have a teenage daughter. And the funniest one, my neighbor behind us. He is an older guy, and I noticed that for three days in a row, he would go out early in the morning and dig in his back yard. I hadn't seen his wife during the past week and I was getting a little nervous. Well, finally, he dragged a decent sized bush over there and planted it in that hole (I almost called the cops)but, thankfully I saw his wife that same evening, alive and healthy..

There are so many things out there in the world and outside the universe that we can learn and study about as well as being excited about. There is nothing evil about that. That is learning and evolving. Why pick a belief that forces you to blame everything on the devil or sin and just enjoy life. Also, I believe in God and I believe in Jesus walked this earth and taught us so many wonderful things. I just do not think Jesus is that selfish enough to ask you to give up who you really are and make everything about him. Life is an experience God gave us and we should take every advantage and learn and study from it instead of focusing on the negatives of the world or what happens after we die. I have enough faith in God to know that he takes care of all of us in a good way when we die if we love and want to love.

What do you do when somebody justifies intolerance with religion? I couldn't care less about somebody's theistic beliefs, but when they are intolerant, mean and inconsiderate towards, say, gays and transsexuals, other religions (or other beliefsystems/disbelief), different cultures, races, when they scare young children with threats of hell or when they push their beliefs on others (by requesting school prayers, or knocking at your door to tell you your lifestyle is wrong), what do you do then? How do you react? I wouldn't want to actually convert anybody, but I also do not want to look away when these things happen. I don't care about myself, but I am very loyal towards friends and family of all races/sexual orientations/belief systems.

How do you put up with these people? I couldn't forgive myself for ignoring them since I sincerely see that as betrayal towards my friends and myself. I can ignore it on the web, but not in person.

What to do?
