I am only going to fault those of my own faith who neglect the state of affairs of our world because of constantly looking forward to a rapture or second coming of christ. The mindset these things seem to create is why bother with things. It will get worse no matter what and the whole planet will be destroyed anyways...

Is this what Christ intended?

Wars, mismanagement of our natural resources, hate... It doesn't make sense anymore. None of it does.

We don't know when, if at all, these things will occur.

I'm not going to fault others since I don't know so much about them, I'll leave that up to someone else.

What do you think?

No matter how bad it looks or whether "God" is going to come with some Rapture soon, we have NO excuse for negative actions while on this earth. It's absolutely asinine and irresponsible to treat our planet like crap for ANY reason. Is that really what your God wants? Absolutely not. He has supposedly even stated as much in your Bible. To not maintain what we have is laziness and irresponsibility, period.

"God's coming" is just an excuse to not give a crap.
