From my experience, I would rather have a conversation with a passionate atheist than a lukewarm Christian. at least the atheist is interested in the subject of spirituality, even if it is only to deny it. lukewarm people just don't give a damn.

The Christian God LOVES everyone. But yes, in the Bible [somewhere in Revelation] it says something along the lines of "be either hot or cold, but do not be lukewarm in your faith."
That doesn't mean God likes them less. But I guess it could be harder to get a lukewarm Christian on fire for God than a convert who had recently been very, very cold towards Christianity.
