It's because they don't drink and can have 30 wives. THink about it... if you don't drink you get the unhappiness and problems that alcohol can bring. If you've got 30 wives you KNOW you're gonna be happy. And if you happen to be one of the wives, you've got 29 women to help you around the house and you won't have to have your husband pester you for sex every night... just once a month :-)

That is a question designed to make us all say: "Oh yes they must be the true religion and God is with them."
Only it is about as true as everyone turning Muslim we see so much on here. Most religions including Muslim is getting less people all the time.
Some people in every church are happy and prosperous and some are not. I know of some very poor family's of Mormons.
The TV Evangelists insist that if you send them money God will make you rich. Is that also true?
Do you actually see the people who send money to TV evangelists getting rich?
The TV Evangelists are the only ones getting rich. It is like a pyramid scheme that was going around some years ago.
Only the guy at the top got rich.
How do you explain it when a disaster happens to a Mormon family? Like cancer? Did God hate that family?
Your reasoning is very flaunted

I beg to differ, with all those children and the women gettign overwhelmed and as it is a ritual in Utah that the oldest child be made into a spouce because the mother can;t handel all the children no matter whether the oldest child is a male or female and be made to take care of the household and the other siblings, like some cindella, I don;t see how they can possible be rich let alone be happy. I for one was not happy being a cinderella in moderntimes.
I was happy to see christians of other faiths who did have big families who could handel big families without making the oldest child a cinderella misfit.

No I hadn't. But i did notice that Utah (according to the CDC) has a higher suicide rate then all the "southern" states and that the Mormon church has a rate of suicide (for young males) almost twice that of the national average.
If you are going to ask a leading question or say a leading statement...you better know where it is leading to

I suppose that is why Utah has the highest rate of teen suicides and the highest use of antidepressants per capita. I guess the happiness come from the happy pills.
Sorry- your observations don't match reality.
As to the prosperous part, the Bible says:
Mt 6:21
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Jas 5:3
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Mat. 6:19-20
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

No..cause if they are mormons and or denomination lead......
Its not God thats leading neither one.......
That makes them a religion and religions are man made not God made !!
so who does that leave left.........? Think about it....only two spirits in this world.....Good and evil............SO.....
If you aint got the one........your following the Other.....
And NO WHERE IN THE WORD of GOD EVER MENTIONS
those Names or Titles or Factions....
Whom seems to me.........we all know who's leading who..huh ?
Not bashing just speaking the TRUTH........

What the heck is a "southern denomination"?
Do they have denominations in the south that don't exist elsewhere? Or are you talking about the Southern Baptist Convention?
And yes, I have noticed that.

Its just a facade. They have a higher rate of documented depression,suicide/suicide attempts, domestic violence,anti-depression medicine use, bankruptcy, and divorce. They are brain washed into putting on a happy face. It's really very sad. They spend so much time "working" their way into the celestial kingdom and qualifying for the temple. They are secretly poor, depressed, and fighting like cats/dogs.

I thought they were just better at their self presentation and suppression of anything other than living a life that is pleasing to God.

If earthly treasures are what you are looking for, then if it can be found in the Mormon way, then go for it.
God does not promise earthly treasure, he guarantees heavenly treasure. Where your heart is, that is where your treasure and happiness is. Mine is in my creator, not man and /or earthly treasure.
