I keep reading comments on this site which claim that spiteful things are written in the Talmud.

Now, I know that the people claiming this are just a silly minority. But I'm also interested in finding out; do non Jews know precisely what the Talmud is?

No offence whatsoever intended; I'm just curious :)

Thanks for your time in answering!

I was driving home from work one day, and I decided to pass this little car that was weaving back and forth in the lane. As I passed I glanced over, and there was a lady steering the car with her knee, while using both hands to knit something. The basket and skane of yarn were in the passenger seat. Talk about multi-tasking.

In Geourgia we are having a drought, so Governor Purdue wants to pray for water and now there are athiests planning to protest. I thought we had freedom of religion. I dont know much about the law but is this against the law? I want to understand why this is wrong.

Follow me here. Some sin is enjoyable which is why we can't stop sinning. (sex drugs rock n roll) I understand these temptations don't exist in heavan. so why if you get into heaven will you not be allowed free will to enjoy what you enjoyed on earth. WIll we be forced to live in a pure state in heavan? and if so what's so heavenly about that? If the answer is yes because we wont be tempted to sin then weve lost our free will. What would you use free will for in heaven anyway? It seems to me that free will is more of a curse. I could do without that gift if it meant I could get into heaven without worrying about my soul all the time. Why can't I use my free will to give back my free will?

Psalm 53:1 **The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.** Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, **Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.**

Are the people who embrace the former, but ignore the latter "not real Christians"?

And who exactly is on the "Not A Real Christian" committee?

In a Muslim school, every day the pupils pray Zuhur. Before Salaat the Adhan is heard all around the school. However some of the non Muslim teachers there have been complaining about it and now the volume has been reduced so much that you can barely hear it. Bearing in mind this is a MUSLIM school, do you think this was a fair thing to do? Personally I think not. It is a Muslim school designed for Muslim pupils to receive an education and worship at the same time. If the non Muslims don't like hearing the Adhan it makes me wonder why they are even working there - they should leave and go elsewhere.

Money is tight this year for us all. 2 people lost their jobs.

Instead of giving gifts I'm looking for an inexpensive idea that we can turn into a new family tradition.

For example one person said give Christmas ornaments for the tree to each other. Or one friend doesn't trade gifts with her family, they just Christmas stockings.

hmmmm lets see. I'm in religion alot... Actually I want it to be my minor in college.. (additional info that you might want to know before making assumptions) Okay.. Jehovah Witnesses? actually i have about 4 questions..

-What are their major beliefs?
-Would you consider them hypocritical?
-Why are they strict about personal involvements{Ex. They would allow their children go out with a non-Jehovah Witness}but they say It doesn't really matter(which goes back to being hypocritical)

Please don't send me some bullshit websites.. I already researched some crap that made no sense at all. I want other people's perspectives and I'm hoping you guys can help me out

-Thanks,
LaTivia

lately I have heard a lot of the term "militant" atheist. It seems that if atheists (such as Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens) speak up, we're "militant" (not withstanding the fact that it's the religious nuts strapping on the bomb vests). Is this just the latest attempt (ala insisting Hitler was an atheist) by Christians to smear us?
