You can't go wrong with Hot Wheels. They are $1 each and you can get quite a few for under $10. Include Hot Wheel pencils and eraser in a Hot Wheel gift bag. You can get all at Wal-Mart and not break the bank.

I'd suggest Play Doh, a small Lego set, a nicely illustrated or coloured book or a toy car or two. Anything along those lines should go down a storm with a little boy.

If he's a boy under 6, he probably loves Disney Pixar Cars (the movie). There are plenty of options on the Toys R Us website - try checking it out for things in your price range. I'm sure he'll love it!

Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars are always great. Also the Cars movie characters or Transformers. Most boys also like Legos and building blocks. My son has always loved those Nerf blaster things that shoot foam balls or darts.

Either a tub of Floam (like playdoh) or a $10 gift card to Walmart. Kids do like these, they can pick out what ever they want, and use the card like mommy or daddy does!
