I was driving home from work one day, and I decided to pass this little car that was weaving back and forth in the lane. As I passed I glanced over, and there was a lady steering the car with her knee, while using both hands to knit something. The basket and skane of yarn were in the passenger seat. Talk about multi-tasking.

I watched a woman put on her makeup in rush hour traffic, using the REARVIEW mirror to see in. When she started wielding the mascara wand I was absolutely horrified, and made sure to get away from her as quickly as possible, because she was hunching over the steering wheel trying to get closer to the mirror to do it.

When I was a teenager many years ago, and back in the day of full service stations, a girl in her 20s used to come in every other day about 9:00 pm. She would often hold her hands up signaling me to stop - not approach the car yet. Then she would motion me to come over. I realized she was dressing in the car. She worked at a factory up the highway and changed out of her work clothes in the car. That went on most the summer, then she stopped coming in all together. I learned from a friend at the same factory she died in an auto accident. I don't know for sure, but I was always lead to think she lost control of her car while changing clothes. Really sad.

Boy that is dicey! I was at a red light at a major intersection. The street had a left turn lane, three center lanes, and a right turn lane. I was in the exact center lane. There was a station wagon one car length ahead of me in the lane on my right. Two woman and about six children were in it. Her left turn signal was on and I had a bad feeling about it. When the light turned green I pulled away slowly and it's a good thing I did. That crazy woman made that left turn across two lanes of oncoming traffic from both directions!!! My ESP was working that day. This was in 1962 and I have never forgotten it. I was driving and was seven months pregnant.

saw a woman on the trans canada hwy doing about 30 kph with a book propped open on her steering wheel, I think I am addicted to reading ? She was weaving from one lane to the other - a real hazard on the road.

But I have also passed male drivers with a cell phone in one hand, and a hamburger or coffee in the other hand, I dont want to know how or what they are using to steer with

Sitting at a traffic light on my motorcycle one evening I glanced over and looked down into a Miata and the young lady was bent over trying to pick something up off the floor by the driver. At least that's what I THOUGHT she was doing. I might have been wrong.

Nothing as extreme as yours, but I saw a woman with her knee on the steering wheel, leaning in front of the review mirror brushing her hair and putting on makeup. She kept swerving from time to time. And now I see more and more texting while driving.

My sister could not talk and drive. She would turn to look you in the eye and when you told her to watch where she was going she would laugh like heck. Needless to say she is no longer with us. Had several bad accidents even ran into a boat an tore the motor off it on the highway.

Once I was on the 405 exchange (in a truck) & watched a guy tie himself off, load his syringe, & shoot up, then he went for his fly & I just couldn't stop laughing. He was driving a T-top Firebird & exposing himself to the world above & I think he knew it & was enjoying every minute. That was some show! I'll never forget that day! He was most definately having a multi-tasking experience!

Hope she was tending her own driving as well as knitting.
Have seen people eating breakfast from a bowl, reading a map or paper, shaving & applying makeup, and reading road maps. Not to mention the phone gabbers and disc jockeys . It's a wonder we don't have more smack ups than we do.
