Three people? That's all you've got?
I'm a smart, honest person. I investigated Christianity *while I was actually a Christian* and it inspired me to become an atheist.
Don't pat yourself on the back too much. Most members of the scientific community are atheists or at best deists, according to a recent poll. I'd say that scientists usually tend to be pretty smart.

"You're stacking it there.
Anyone who investigated Christianity and didn't become a Christian will be, by your definition, neither smart nor honest."
I believe you should refresh yourself on the tactics of debate.
He qualified the "smart and honest people" group with "who investigate Christianity". Your error is symptomatic of many of the weaker arguments posed on this Y!A section. Typically, when intelligence or morality is brought into question the respondents become defensive and irrational.
"Anyone who investigated Christianity and didn't become a Christian will be, by your definition, neither smart nor honest." This corollary becomes null and void because your logic that helped you derive it is false.

The Holy Spirit leads us all to Christ- and Strobel, Lewis, and McDowell investigated it and studied and they could run from the truth- if you really investigated for yourself, the Spirit of God would open your eyes to the truth too.

Because when they are searching their soul and looking for answers, they readily find them.
You should read "Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel.
God isn't hiding. He's just waiting for everyone to notice. Really notice.
Edit: And, there are others who have become Christians. Francis S. Collins, for instance. He was the head scientist in the Human Genome Project. A British professor named Walter J. Veith was a very well-known evolutionist. He traveled around the world and found his own physical proof of Christianity and Creationism. I love his talks about the flood.

Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Nick Gisburne, Bertrand Russell, Ricky Gervais, Terry Pratchett, Julia Sweeney, Björk...
They're just a tiny few - the ones I was able to think of off the top of my head - of the many many people who prove you wrong.
EDIT: Oh my God, I can't believe I forgot Douglas Adams! Duh! Carl Sagan's probably in there as well, but I don't know to what extent he investigated Christianity.

i did not develop right into a Christian by utilising learn even nonetheless I examine the Bible till now i develop right into a Christian. learn and data do not remodel human beings into Christians. those could be useful to make incredibly psychological, religious human beings yet not Christians. a guy or woman can not make his or herself a Christian. in basic terms God, by utilising His love, is able to go upon a guy or woman's heart and bring on the subject of the substitute of their techniques and emotions to start the Christian existence. becoming to be a Christian is an journey; the journey of repentance and sorrow for a egocentric existence and egocentric words and deeds. The snoozing experience of right and incorrect is awakened to answer God's call for ethical excellence and character progression as defined in the Bible. the mind-blowing thing approximately character in Christ and God as contrasted with the selfishness and delight of my human nature can not be quantified in a laboratory with the aid of fact worldly technological awareness is detrimental to such humility of guy. the guy submits to the claims of God upon the experience of right and incorrect and a metamorphosis occurs. Humility takes the region of delight and conceitedness making available the communication of God with that guy or woman by utilising consistent, periodic impressions on the experience of right and incorrect. the great stumblingblock, the capture 22 situation for the rejector of God is interior that guy or woman. The greater effective that guy or woman's opinion of their own intelligence or capacity the less will he or she understand approximately God. the incorrect kit are being utilized in the learn of God, consequently the incorrect consequences will constantly persist with. Humility and a willingness to nicely known and resign to the impressions made upon the experience of right and incorrect are the way you look at God's life. who's waiting for the undertaking ? Who will positioned up to the try of non-public journey ? the non-public journey could be rather wisely predicted by utilising the character of the guy. a real conversion to Christ is an inward journey that's revealed outwardly in the habit in accordance with good concepts which would be seen by utilising all; not sometime or each now and then yet constantly throughout the existence with increasing brightness. teach N tell

No.
First Corinthians 2:14 states: "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
In other words, a man can be very intelligent and intellectually honest but cannot understand the words of the Spirit. Unless he is reborn of the Spirit.
