Is God a man?

"Jehovah is a manly person of war. Jehovah is his name." Exodus 15:3
When God acted for his chosen nation in the past, he could annihilate entires ethnicities.
He no longer has a chosen nation but calls all peoples, tongues, and national groups to himself through Christ and love.
But there will be war again in which all unrighteous ones are cut off from the earth. And once again, there will be peace- but peace eternally because there will be no more wickedness.
War or Peace?- it depends completely on the time period and the circumstances.

Old Testament vs. New Testament.
The word "man" in Exodus is a bad translation. It's accurate to the original language, but not to the concept behind it. "The Lord God is a warrior" is a better translation.
That's just how they envisioned God in those times. One would hope that we've matured a bit spiritually since then, but from the looks of people who call themselves "fundamentalist" or "conservative," I have my doubts that any maturity has taken place.

Both war and peace will always be with us. As Quoholeth ("The Preacher") says in Ecclesiates, there is a time to kill and a time to give life - all things in their season.
Is God a man?
God became a man to ransom us from our sin. A man by the name of Jesus Christ. The name that is above all names. The name at which in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, every knee will bend, every head will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Context my dear, Context!
I believe in The God that wars for me and fights on my behalf and because of that I haveThe Peace Of God that is within me.
I believe The God of Peace is The God my Banner and rallies for me to go to battle.
I believe The God My Provider is The God my Salvation.
I believe The God my Healer Is The God my Righteousness.
I believe The God Almighty is The God With ME.
God became a man and died for me. I love Him for humbling Himself and loving me so much to do that, too.

Peace cannot exist. Humans by nature are a warlike species. There will always be war or no war. Peace is basically the absence of war.

Christy...we have always been at war (spirtually ) God and satan have been struggling over your soul your entire life...God want you to have peace and joy, from the struggle going on inside you...God loves you...satan hates God....
