at their parties, how in the world would you feel about this?

Alright, my husband's good friend whom he has a hobby working on cars w/in his friends garage has been a close friend of his for yrs. Well his friends gf who has a couple parties a yr. at their house, and of course everyone eats like they would at any party.
Every once in a blue moon, I'll have a get together here and everyone loves what I have made, EXCEPT HER {my husbands friends gf.}
At a couple of New Yrs parties I had, and this past summer cookout I had, she wouldn't eat a thing, saying she "wasn't hungry".
What's even weirder is in the past, she always admired my cooking, and always asked me to teach her how to make certain foods/recipes {used to have a cafe' I did}

The point is, she acts all enthusiastic about me trying out her food at parties ect. YET, I feel so INSULTED when she's invited here, and she won't even have a glass of soda, nor try anything I've made whatsoever.

Why in the world did the antimormons of the message board have to chime in? Can't you people just shut up for 2 seconds and wait for someone to actually direct a question twds you?


And before anyone goes off on free speech, yeah its a message board and you have free speech, but the question was asking about what the book of mormon contains. It wasnt asking why all mormons are wrong, in a cult, and going to hell. Do you anti mormons really think you are going to bring people to your side by answering like this?

So that they dont ruin your Chistmas.

Do you think there is any way to change how they feel? What would you do to nudge them gently into enjoying Christmas? It isnt about the money, or the gifts because I have always believed Christmas is about being with good friends, or family, if you have any, great food, and just enjoying yourselves. I have never gone all out for Christmas, not since the kids were very little.

What would you buy a man who says he doesnt want anything, doesnt need anything, doesnt think Christmas should be used as an excuse to buy things for people because it just another day. He doesnt mind chowing down on turkey and all the trimming though.

No he isnt Jewish, or cheap, he is just a real grinch --

Those who want to have sex outside of marriage find this bothersome, and to resolve the cognitive dissonance between their behavior and beliefs, they change their beliefs. Some try to have their cake and eat it to by claiming God wants an amorphous "love" that includes sex outside of marriage, but they do not find corroboration in biblical texts for this compromise.

Isn't this the real reason for atheism, agnosticism, New Age paganism, and postchristian liberalism--a chafing at sexual restrictions?

I understand what Osama did and whatever else, and theres two different kinds of arabians, theres MUSLIM and theres CHRISTIAN, you cant go and hate christian arabians because they are arabian, and you cant hate muslims because of what osama did, hate the ones that agree with what happend on september 11. Im christian arabian, and I dont tell anyone, cause my cousin, who everyone loves, told people hes arabian, and they keeps saying annoying jokes when hes mad like DONT BOMB MY HOUSE, even though he doesnt care, and he laughs about it, I really think its annoying.

Since past couple of weeks, all my muslim brethren visiting this site and myself have been reiterating the fact that ISLAM does not allow killing of any person plainly because he/she belongs to a different faith, that the verses of QURAAN instigating killing of infidels has a context-it refers to those days when islam was establishing its feet, hence fighting and killing those infidels trying to eradicate Islam from the face of the earth was nothing but 'DEFENCE' and will continue to be the strategy 'WHENEVER' such a situation comes up again[just like the military forces behave at the border of any country], that OSAMA is no authority in ISLAM and a True muslim follows PROPHET MUHAMMAD(P.B.U.H) who's teachings are far different from what OSAMA has projected. We muslims, visiting this forum, together condemn the activities of 'TERRORISTS' and declare that they are not believers of ISLAM.
Inspite of such positive efforts from our end the response is far from encouraging. I can actually categorize the nomuslims asking questions about ISLAM on this forum. There are those who are genuinely interested in knowing about ISLAM, they refuse to buy the bilge propogated by all sorts of western and (these days) indian media and are actually looking for clarifications. This reflects in questions they pose and emails they write to us. The other lot is that of some perverts who have nothing else to do in life and get some high by sounding like an ex member of some flop polarized political group. They write all the filth they can about ISLAM and everything to do with ISLAM. They write pre-independence times slogans like 'LEAVE MY COUNTRY', 'GO TO SAUDI ARABIA', 'LEAVE INDIA' & all such remarks failing to provoke even the ants in my garden. When this does'nt work, they accuse us of having multiple accounts and answering our own questions, sending hate mails to nonmuslims. All their efforts efforts if combined, seems like a bogus modus operandi to deliberately show ISLAM in a bad frame. However, their threats are nothing more than bubbles waiting to burst as these pussycats lack the bone to keep their email ids’ public

i think i have obsessive compulsive disorder, so i do things that i don't want to do and i have unwanted thoughts sometimes
a few years ago, i said f***ing jesus, which i really don't mean because im christian and i have nothing again him at all
i also have a rule where saying it in my mind is ok because i did it a numerous times, but saying it out loud or mumbling it, i can't bear it
so a few years ago, i said it out loud or mumbling, i can't remember well
a few days ago, i did it again, mumbling it
i think that i only said the f word and didn't say his name
but i felt guilty, but im ok now
but it's going to haunt me again some time later on
if i didn't mean it, then is it fine, or do i have to ask for forgiveness
