If a guy or girl "overdoses" it's more of a cry for help as opposed to really wanting to end their life. Facts more guys complete the act then girls because guys choose more fatal means of ending it ie hanging themselves, using a gun or cutting the wrist.

I don't think I've heard that before but I can name a lot of things that work the same way:
1. If a man doesn't want to have sex with his wife he's cheating, if the wife doesn't want to she is exhausted b/c she has soooo much to do.
2. If a man hits a woman he is an abuser, if a woman hits a man it is self-defense.
I could certainly go on but you get the idea.
