Why in the world did the antimormons of the message board have to chime in? Can't you people just shut up for 2 seconds and wait for someone to actually direct a question twds you?

And before anyone goes off on free speech, yeah its a message board and you have free speech, but the question was asking about what the book of mormon contains. It wasnt asking why all mormons are wrong, in a cult, and going to hell. Do you anti mormons really think you are going to bring people to your side by answering like this?

I have to wonder how many people actually read the question and the answers given to the link

The question was asked about what the book of mormon was about and most of the answers were how mormons were wrong and the book was wrong blah blah
What in the world does that have to do with the question being asked????

If your only intention to answering a question is to bash on another instead of just trying to answer the question, then you really shouldnt be answering the question.

There has been a lot of mormon questions on here tonight and a lot of just spiteful incorrect answers. What is the purpose of bashing on another religion?

If you have noticed, there are some people who do that in every legitimate question. You will never be able to get those people to shut up, because they not only have no respect for other people, but evidently they don't respect them selves, or they would not make a fool of them selves like they do. I did not answer the other question, because it was a Mormon question, which I did not know the answer to. If every one would only answer questions that they feel they have an answer to without disrespect, this would be a better site. Just ignore them.

like i said it contains the beliefs of one man Joseph smith he claims to have found some lost tablets of gods here in the USA which is another testament to the bible, yet he would not let any one see the tablets. the reason people have a problem with them is because the bible clearly says do not add to or take away. the quran never says its another testament but its the teachings of a man. another reason is because they will not bring forth the tablets to prove that the book is legit. besides that they are good people my best friend is Mormon and we study the bible often we just dont discuss the book of Mormon. the only thing i can tell you is read the bible first then read the book of mormon

well if you really want to know whats in that book, or what those ppl think and believe then either seek them out, get the book, go to a mormon site, or take a flying f_%& at a rolling donut

Ask Yahoo that question. They promote people highly for having excessive answers to questions. Yahoo Answers promotes stupid answers by giving points for stupid answers. Personally, I think the site would be much better off if we were allowed to just chat. But some would abuse that, too, as they do in Yahoo Messenger.

Some people believe that what is contained in the Book of Mormon is "lies and hypocrisy." If that is what they believe is in it, then you should expect that to reflect in their answer.

Well, this being a public forum, all questions are available to all participants. If you want a private party, you are on the wrong website.

People arn't smart enough to form a intelligent answer?

They are scared of other's faith so they must "attack the man" instead of answer what's being asked.

They are trying to save people from a "lesser" religion and prevent them from expanding their horizons.

Sadly, too many people try to rack up points, and they don't give you points for not answering when you shouldn't.

When you ask the world, the world replies to you with what they want, not what YOU want.

If you're not prepared to receive freely thrown answers yet, then you may first practice asking offline.
