Today I went for a musical job at an RSL and there was a reef laying ceramony, afterwards there were various prayers all of which were christian. Isn't it just a bit rude to assume everyone is Christian or am I just being one of those paranoid idiots who take offence to anything slightly different?

I am atheist but was wondering if anyone ever felt the same way.

I want to practice writing in spanish but I am sick and tired of doing the same diary entry over and and over. Can you guys give me some suggestions of things I can write in spanish? I haven´t studied spanish very long. I can give an example of ¨What did you do on your last summer vaction?¨ suggestions that focus using on past tenses would be great. I am going to give these to my teacher for correction.

I tend to imagine as I breath that good comes in, and negative leaves through my mouth, and as I do this I touch the chakra I wish to purify. And imagine the negativity leaving through my hands and into my blood and up to the third eye. I do this while exerting what feels like pressure on my third eye, for when I release the pressure, I feel more relaxed and at ease, and able to concentrate. This is how I started doing it, but don't know if it is the correct method.

If you were raised in the faith you practiced, and have been given oppurtunities to leave said faith, what prompted you to remain what you are?

I've heard it is a way to reach toward God, to project the prayers skyward... Is this true?

If so... how is this different to the Tower of Babel? Weren't they trying to reach heaven too?

In everything. I dropped out of high school. I dropped most of my useless friends. I used to think I was in love with this woman but it was just an infatuation. I've lost the will to try (not to live) but just to try. . I'm not sad or suicidal over this, I just feel like there's nothing to believe in.

Christianity?

I still believe in God (and always will), it's just the characteristics of God I'm wavering on...quantum physics and near-death experiences have had a lot to do with that.

No offense, atheists, but I don't want to hear about how near-death experiences can be explained scientifically. Frankly, I don't believe that crap. There is no doubt in my mind that they are authentic.

Jesus is not against you.He is for you.satan hates you because satan hates everything God created. And if anyone says it does not matter because I do not believe there is a God.That does not mean much.Have you experience being saved.Have you experinced Jesus filling you with peace and love.I have does this make me better? No it doesn't.Just forgiven.Have you experienced there is not a God?A negative never overcomes a possitive in the end.Who do you think had more people going to their funeral. The last Pope who had love in his heart .He forgave the people that shot him.or Ted Bundy.Good always overcomes evil in the end.God always overcomes satan.Jesus already defeated satan. But it takes a certain time for that to sink in folks hearts. Thanks for your time .Love Cindy

I'm not planning anything or going to anyone's Thanksgiving. Too bad, I'm not going to eat any Turkey for this year.

just curious, but if you're Christian and don't go to church, then what are your reasons? do you believe you are better on your own worshipping/learning about God than in church? no disrespect intended, just curious....

when men enter a public toilet,! why do they head 4 the sit down toilet and pee,if it is a realy large building with lots of troughs they get as far away from each other as is possible.and if its a small bog that can only have maybe 4 blokes standing two go to the corners and turn the other way leaving the two in the middle to think that the other is staring at him.and we all and i dont care who you are seem to feel real uncomfertable.and when we are alone in the bog we seem to be quite ourselves, something happens when we walk into a toilet we seem to be on guard, and i cant wait to see some of the sarky answers but i am right up 4 a laugh even if its at my expence so go 4 it! ps if u live in hull dont use the bog in bransholme centre, you just get into the flow when this little woman walks in and with a strong brummey accent shouts "ITS ALRIGHT CHUCKS OIVE SEEN IT ALL B4"! and u all stop peeing dead as she mops around you.(true)

Such as ghosts, aliens, bigfoot, yeti, lochness monster, cyclops, etc??

I think my favorite is about the ghost that haunts a graveyard in Virginia Beach. It is a girl named Mary and she is always seen in a white dress. She always hitches a ride with a trucker and then all of the sudden disappears. What is your favorite story dealing with the super natural?

I understand that resigning is most appropriate in person followed by a written letter, but i am in a somewhat uncomfortable position.

First we are a small company of 5 so i dont have a manager or an hr person to approach. Second my boss shares an office with the receptionist so i cant exactly ask her to leave while i have a 'private meeting'. and third (the big reason why I am leaving) is they have been 2 weeks behind on paying me for 2 months - meanwhile i have an offer for twice what i am making (or not making)... so im thinking about just sending my boss a polite, professional email and state that he will receive a signed, written notice. also, am i obligated to give him anymore than one week notice? - cuz frankly i cant afford to work their anymore.

any advise would be appreciated.
