In everything. I dropped out of high school. I dropped most of my useless friends. I used to think I was in love with this woman but it was just an infatuation. I've lost the will to try (not to live) but just to try. . I'm not sad or suicidal over this, I just feel like there's nothing to believe in.

sounds like your life is all about you...maybe that's why it's full of useless friends, people you don't love, and limited brain activity...

you sound too self-centered to be suicidal...and not intelligent enough to be unhappy over your wasted life...

I haven't lost my faith even when I lost people whom I loved very much. I keep thinking about there being a heaven and a loving God who wants me and that's what keeps me going. I'll see my loved ones again because they were Christians and will be in heaven when I get there. I keep believing in Jesus and my life is good. He helps me out a lot. I don't think I could get through the things I've gone through without believing in Him.

There's plenty of stuff to believe in, but you have no obligation to believe in it. In the words of Robert Anton Wilson:

"My own opinion is that belief is the death of intelligence. As soon as one believes a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence. The more certitude one assumes, the less there is to think about, and a person sure of everything would never have any need to think about anything and might be considered clinically dead under current medical standards, where the absence of brain activity is taken to mean that life has ended."

I have no faith in mankind's ability to successfully govern ourselves. Over the last several thousand years, every possible type of government has been tried, & all have failed, miserably...

Whenever honest, hardworking, individuals get into responsible & important jobs, one of two things happens. Either they allow themselves to become corrupted by the rest of the system, or, they are removed & replaced with someone else who already is. This is especially true in government & big business...

However, that does not leave us without anything worth believing in... We just have to look to someone (& their plan) who is capable & worthy of our trust!

A crisis of faith......a sad situation to be in, and one that I have experienced all to well. You must find something to believe in, even if it is just yourself, in order to move on in life. I know that sounds kinda silly and corny, but darn if it isn't true.

If you stay on here long enough, you really wont have anything left to believe in. Find some new friends, who knows, maybe a new girlfriend could be among them. :-)
