I understand what you mean, I cannot say I hate it, but admit it´s quite annoying. You must take into consideration that people all over the world are answering/asking questions on this site. (For your information "Check Spelling" does not always work.)
For many of us having another language than English as our native language, it´s a good way of learning more English and share our thoughts with you English speaking people. I don´t want to generalize or to sound rude, but English speaking people often think that their language is the most important language in the world and quite often they don´t know any foreign language. So have some understanding, please. Thank you!

Was typing the pronoun "I" in lowercase in purpose?
If I have such kind of typos, yes I hate it. Because if I know how it is, I should type it properly, right?
Some don't give a damn about it. They might think it is funny, or that it doesn't represent a problem in communication. And most of the time, it is okay. But some othrs the spelling is so horrible (normally the grammar is off too) that it really makes me wonder if that was writen by a learner of the language in the first stages.
I don't think I hate it. But after reading 10 questions and finding 8 have flaws (and most of them are written by natives), you get a little discouraged. Like some day non-natives will know better the language than natives themselves.

Ya I wonder if we should start a grammar and spelling class online for the people that are addicted to answers. There have been some questions that I have had to tell the author that they need to rewrite it and try to make some sense. If they don't use proper grammar and spelling then they are wasting points (like the points do us any good anyway). But I don't get mad, I just pitty the fool that would make an a-s-s of themselves that way. lol

No you are absolutely correct, if someone wants a serious, considered response to a question, they could have the courtesy to take the time to check the spelling and also not to use text speak to the extent that the query is at best ambiguous, and at worst unintelligible. I now make a point of not responding to those questions and encourage you to do the same.

I used to wince & it still bothers me that people don't know how to spell & their grammar is atrocious. I think its a result of stupidity and/or poor teaching. I suspect that today's teachers don't know any better either. A lot of jobs will be closed to people because of their failure to use the English language properly. It's to be expected with foreigners who are learning the language but there's really no excuse for anyone else.

I think you need to cut most of them some slack, as clearly for many, English is NOT their primary language.

I'm strange 'cos whenever I see an misspelt word in anything i get bugged. It might be 'cos when I read I can instantly tell when something is misspelt...but I make mistakes as well so I can obviously forgive people (well we all make mistakes, duh) unless people spell so badly I can't understand it...so, it irks me but I don't hate them :)

I completely agree with you! Some questions are so poorly spelled and expressed that you have almost no idea what the question is.
