I'd like to know if messages in dreams count coming from our departed loved ones as a gift. I was baptised with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit 10 yrs ago. A couple of years after I've been getting direct messages in my dreams coming from my deceased mother and they really do happen after dreaming of them. I'd like to know whether this counts. It's been on my mind for the longest time and I'd like to know which gift this is. Thank you!

Follow me and consider this seriously - I'm not being facetious:

If "he" knew what would happen and that we would argue about the meaning of the bible, why didn't "he" just leave us a copy of the bible as intended on DVD so there wouldn't be any doubt as to what "he" meant. It would have saved us a lot of arguments.

It baffles me no end that a religion like Christianity was propagated through wars and other violent means. And in the past, those who refused to be converted were ultimately executed. The contrast with Buddhism is quite stark, since Buddhism spread to East Asia by just letting the spiritual philosophy itself captivate the mind & spirit of the people there without resorting at all to any violent means of propagation. The other question is, if it is really the Absolute Truth, then why is there so much moral degradation in societies that profess the Christian Faith?

If a Theist asked you similar questions face to face would you respond the same way? Or would you pretend to respect their beliefs? I have a few Atheist friends who are afraid to mention their Atheism because they are afraid of confrontation. Do any of you Atheist's here have that same problem?

While this doesn't prove that evolution is responsible for the way humans are today and how they evolved from an ape like ancestor, doesn't the fact that viruses become immune to antibiotics by adapting to their effects and therefore passing those adaptive traits to their "offspring" making antibiotics useless prove evolution at least is an occurrence in nature? If not, what evidence can you support your denial of this?

I'm just watching the breakfast club for the 1st time, and to me the concept of nerds as we know it today finds it source here....
I mean the concept was not invented in this movie but iconised...imprinted in the back of our minds forever.....
Don't you agree?
If you look at all the 70's and 80's movies you'll understand our whole (/big part of....) society?
And isn't kinda sad that this is how we create our culture?
