well of corse. I think all you have to really be is a good person throughout your life and not no of one story about a religion and you can still get into heaven. I think being a good soul will lead you on a path to eternal hapiness while alive and while passed away. Religion is designed to bring the best out in a person and give them morals because there is so little good in the world. People are naturaly selfish and therfore resulting in people like Hitler, Mussolini, and Fulgencio Batista.. so on.
They have effected our world in a bad way because they are greedy people that do not feel compassion for others. Even though people may protest that religion wouldn't help them, but i disagree. To be a christian, a pagan, a catholic, or even a jew etc does not promote the death of other, The relgions try to teach people peace and love. Love is God for many of these religions except for paganism because their God is in nature which is the trees, grass, wind etc. A beautiful and acient religion it is..
I'm pretty sure those people i mentioned were not satisfied with the teachings of the religions because they did not turn out so good and nor Hitler enjoy christians and jews etc.
I'd most likely consider these people satonists because they were of their own God. Their bible was the destruction they caused to their people. They lived with no given limits and the paradise they will see at the end is Hell.

I personally boleive there is a God..
I know this for myself because he has helped me, I do not need to prove anything to anyone because it already has been proven to me..
You must decide on who your role model will be who is of higher power then you.
A God is a beautiful role model..
Anyreligion with a God is a beautiful religion as long as it is peacful. I think we are all alike except some of the books say we arn;t. Books like the bible and anyother relgiious because really tell us different stories of our religion and our God, but is it really a different God we all see?

As long as you live a righteous life, why not? Religion is more man-run these days and has become more like a cult with rules. We don't feel closer to the Divine or a conscious communion to Him/Her as Yogis from the East do in Meditation, until the all-knowing, ever-new, continuous Bliss is their everything.

OH, ABSOLUTELY!
I have been religion free ever since I accepted Jesus as my savior.
Now I have a peace that tells me that God is my Father and He is watching over me, teaching me and guiding me, and I can talk to Him any time I want to about ANYTHING!
Do I have to wear a certain style of clothes? No. Can I eat what I want? Sure!
Religion tells us that if I don't do "A" thing then "B" thing won't happen. Oh, and NEVER do "C" thing or "X" thing WILL happen, and you won't like it.
Religion makes God a mathematical principle. God is NOT Algebra. He is a friend. He is MY friend, and I love Him, and He loves me. Regardless of what I do or don't do, He loves me just the same.
That kind of love inspires me to do those things that HE approves of. If I slip and don't do them, or if I do something that He doesn't like, does he stop loving me? Not on your LIFE! God has only one rule. Love Him and Love others.
That's not a religion. That's a relationship.

Of course. Religion is more of a moral guide than something that is needed to live by. Thats why I hate the parts of religion that damn you to "hell" if you don't obey rules and codes.

I see no reason why not. I have a relative who practices no religion, but lives a decent, ethical and apparently satisfying life.
