No, the catholics might, some of them, others don't trust the Vatican anymore, and they would just view the pope as an apostate and elect a new one.
Other Christians in other denominations (such as Baptist, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, etc) would not convert. We don't view the pope as the head of the "church," only Christ. Jesus wasn't Muslim, so we aren't.

The Pope only speaks for Roman Catholics, there are many many other types of Christians out there. He doesn't even speak for all Catholics - many have lost faith in the Pope(s) since Vatican II.
Besides just because the Pope does it doesn't mean all Catholics have to - otherwise they may be quite rare, as the Pope isn't allowed to marry and have children.

Some Catholics probably would, most Christians I doubt. In fact that would mean they were no longer the Pope so a new Pope would be appointed and they would continue business as usual.
