Philosophy is a better section for this question. R&S is not improving in terms of quality answers. People here just debate about their beliefs and say all the crap they can to the other side.

We know that we are there!
We also know that we are inter-dependent with everything around us, the air, water, earth, food, etc. Enough reason to love everything around us, and try to 'feel' everything around as a part of 'us' (in a way), and then we would evolve into love as a way of being. When this experience deepens, the best thing that could ever happen would follow sequentially!

To love ourselves we don't need any external support .As a matter of fact, the degree to which we can love anybody or others is in direct proportion to the degree of our self love. When we love ourselves,it automatically expands towards outer world and includes other life forms or even a divine source(if you are inclined towards that.)Let's remember that it's a well fed person who has the inclination and means to feed a hungry being .

You make a choice to love yourself and follow through with it.

It is the healthy way in which to live.

Nobody loves weeds and pests but they have given me a remarkable example of how they love themselves by their indomitable spirit and will to live. So if there's no God to love me and no one else does, I'll imitate these "lower organisms".

I am an only child, and I have no problem holding myself in high esteem. If no one loves me, so what? I love myself because I know that I'm worthy of love.

Accept yourself. Don't worry about loving yourself. What we humans define as love is driven by hormones.

I need no one, no god, to love myself or to love others. My love is not conditional upon what others think or feel.

Is this a question about masturbation?

Just kidding. I love myself....it is a lifelong relationship.
