That is the common interpretation of Matt. 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (KJV) So, yes, I would say that is true.
Edit: After reading Robert's answer, I have to modify my answer. It's "church" if you are together in Jesus' name. If you are discussing spirituality in general, then no, it's not.

No, that would be fellowship. Church is where believers assemble to worship a Holy God. Two or more in worship would be Church. Church is usually referred to a larger organization of many people with deacons, and elders, and a preacher.

following your logic, if two people talk spiritually anywhere, then they are having church. Depending on who you talk to or what your particular religious teachings show, i think when two or more people talk spiritually, it may be considered a fellowship. many people confuse church with a certain place. I wish i knew your religious affiliation, then i think i could help more.
