I am not Christian so I can't say for sure but I assume it's that they want only their beliefs around. To them all Religions aside from theirs is unacceptable and therefore they believe if their is something they hate they think they have the authority to disband it. However they are mistaken. Legally at least in America Religion cannot be used to pass or ban something because the First Amendment ensures that all Religions are treated equally. Since some Religions actually support Gay Marriage it would break the First Amendment to side with the Christians because Legally all Religions are supposed to be treated equally. Edit- As for Homosexuality being unnatural where do people get that? Unnatural implies that it's against nature but I have seen several animals engage in Homosexual Acts. Animals are part of nature therefore Homosexuality is in fact Natural.
