What all happens when I'm set aside?

Around...thanks.

When I'm "set aside" it means I'm brought up front of the congregation and given the priesthood...but I didn't know what happens, but like someone else said, it's like a blessing.

lol. Well, you know this now, but they are going to announce it to the sacrament service something like "Will Brother Garnder please stand? Brother Gardner has been found worthy to hold the Aaronic priesthood. All who can manifest by the uplifted hand...blah blah. Brother Gardner, you will be set apart at priesthood meeting."
Congratulations! ^_^ I know you must be excited! ^_^

You will be sustained by the congregation and then at a later time the Bishopric will place their hands upon your head and confir the Aaronic Priesthood upon you and ordain you to the office of a priest therein. Along with the ordination, you will receive a blessing from the priesthood leader that is mouth for the ordination and blessing. This is the first step in partaking of the covenant of Abraham, the obtaining of the priesthood and then fulfilling your calling to use that priesthood in the service of others.
Congratulations.

It is just like a blessing.

It is usually done in priesthood quorum, not in front of the whole congregation. Maybe your ward does it a little differently, but then if they did it that way, wouldnt you know what it was like?

people like pathofreason really need to get their own lives and beliefs and stop trying to invade the lives and beliefs of mormons

Remember when you were ordained a deacon? When you became a Teacher? It's the same thing.

Congratulations and God bless you for your commitment to him. I don't know what happens, but the other answers are so negative I want to counteract that...

Wow congratulations on wasting your life. You would have been better off qualifying for the special olympics. At least that would mean something.
