Well, christians think they are the children of God, So do the mormons. God does not have a family. We humans do because that is the only way to continue procreation.

The children of God are the ones he has elected unto salvation. Do we know who they are? Well, not necessarily, but we do see their fruits and we can get a good idea as to who loves the Lord and who does not.

I know who you are talking about. They simple call themselves 'The Family' now after the child abuse scandal.
