What is with this constant global denial of our true natures? What's up with the terror in knowing that you have lived before in other bodies and will do so forever? How many times does God have to tell us the same things over and over across thousands of years in a million ways before we catch-on?

The foundation of this country is christian,( nothing wrong with that) many still believe what their parents taught them, and follow this doctrine blindly.
If they tried to think for themselves, and try to practise rugged individualism they would search for truth and in this truth if found they would have the realization of our true infinte nature.
Sometimes its takes personal tragedy or hardship to search for truth.. unfortunately..

Congrats!! jump ahead 8 steps towards infinity.

HELLO starte, I got this from a vedic text.

The senses, the mind and the intelligence are the sitting places lust. Through them lust covers the real knowledge of the living entity and bewilders him.

Basically the enemy has captured different strategic positions in the body of the conditioned soul. the great spirit gives hints at those places.
, so that one who wants to conquer the enemy within, may know where it can be found. mind is the center of all the activities of the senses, and thus when we hear about sense objects the mind becomes a reservoir of all ideas of sense gratification, and as a result the mind becomes a repositories of lust and bewilderment. so basically people just get to illusion by this material world and forget what there true state of being is.

probably because you can't prove it

I mean really thats all you have to do, prove that what you're saying is true

If you can't then I have no more reason to believe in what you say than I do in someone who says that little blue fairies live at the bottom of my garden

Because all the stuff I've seen that's living dies, and then it rots - why is it so difficult to believe that's what happens to us humans, too?

but we all do die and it can happen in a moment.
all living things alive right now can be dead anytime
there is nothing wrong with dying. being dead will be just like you felt before you were born.isn't that exciting.

Because there is this book, called the bible, that scares people into believing that there is a heaven and hell. Damn that!
