I am really concerned with seculars thinking that it is OK to try and take away our way of life and freedom to worship. When the government can regulate what is being taught in the churches and how a preacher may preach to his people. Whether or not they can state what the Bible teaches on things like homosexuality and hell? Do you think the secularists are going too far? Please be respectful and say whatever you think! What do you say........American?

Hi,
I am a Christian woman in my mid 20's. God is the most important thing in my life. Like everyone else, I am not a perfect person, however I am so thankful for his grace & forgiveness and that he is enough for me to pass.

I have been dating a wonderful sensitive man and from the very beginning have been asking God to end it no questions asked if he didn't approve. This man and I have grown close and are talking of marriage. He is not a believer. He has a very bland background in his family when it comes to spirituality.. very neutral. He knows little of Christ and the Bible, and he has been attending a young adults church with me which he enjoys and thanks me for introducing him to this part of life he never knew. He knows God is #1 with me. I love his heart.. and he will be fine with rasing our children Christian.
I am aware of being unevenly yolked with unbelievers and hardships that can arise out of such situations. It feels right and I have been praying that God end it..

If you believe a truck is coming, you will jump out of the way. that is belief in the reality of the truck. if you tell people you believe in the truck, but do nothing to get out of the way, that is not belief in the truck. likewise, it is not belief to say god exists, and then continue sinning and hoarding your wealth while innocent people die of starvation. when belief does not control your most important decisions, it is not belief in the underlying reality, it is belief in the usefulness of believing.

people claim to believe in god, but most don't literally believe. they only act as though they believe because there are earthy benefits in doing so. they create a delusion for themselves because it makes them happy.

I was praying, and instead of Jesus answering me, Mohammad answered and said that I was worshiping the wrong God!

The next time I prayed, The Buddha answered and said not to listen to Mohammad or Jesus, but to simply "live" on my own and just look inside for the answers!

I've heard it said that next people would be wanting to marry their livestock and trees and whatnot. Isn't there a difference between consenting (human) adults, and your horse or mulberry tree? is this really a distinction that needs to be pointed out? Jeez!

Every generation of humans believed it had all the answers it needed, except for a few mysteries they assumed would be solved at any moment. and they believed their ancestors were simple and deluded. so, what are the odds that we are the first generation to truly understand reality?

If I were to write down a story that never happened, about a magician who was a little crazy- and embellish it a whole lot and then claim that hundreds of witnesses saw it too - and put that in my story, and then get three other people to write the exact same story in a kind of competition - then later, a man who never even knew my main character would also be kinda crazy and get the idea that this story should be really believed –

My stories were kind of a sequel to a bunch of ancient religious stories that had different writing styles – but only a select few.

If all the original writings of my stories were lost, but some copies were found and then a big religious group got them and selected the "best" parts and then threw out over 60% of other accounts within the story and then added to them,

and what if a lot of the writings were made to look like they were prophesies that were fulfilled later and those fulfilled prophesies were answered in the same book with even more

I love to hunt. I take into consideration that natural population swings of game-animals are just that natural.

I have witnessed death by starvation, disease, predators tearing them to shreds while they were still alive, and i get the impression that a well-placed bullet is not any worse than the above.

I have a Lutheran friend who hunts and has no problem with it but i have taken alot of crap about hunting from my fellow town's people (we have 623 people and 8 churches) and they site that God says not to kill. I am just curious of your opinions here in R&S.

An all powerful deity that could do one, SHOULD have been able to do the other right?
Or is there a much simpler explanation? That god is imaginary as he has always been? That the god of the 'wholly babble' only saved the jews in a fable, not in real life. (in fact there is NO evidence whatsoever that the jews ever spent 40 years in the desert, nor did Egyptians die in the red sea as the fairy-tale says. Evidence, as they say, is the key to the truth. And there isn't any. )
And if you say he IS real, then where was he during the 1930's? Napping?

I have an idea! Okay, I think that all organized religion types should come up with a handheld device that their followers use that has specific messages for typical responses to questions and ridicule. That way if some jerk comes up to question your beliefs or something stupid like that, you can just press the button and the little recording device will say things like:

"God loves you."

"PRAISE the LORD!"

"God bless you."
etc. you get the idea.

This will make it so much easier because the questioner will get an answer and you don't even have to acknowledge them and their crazy ideas. The less thought process the better, right?

Tell me! By the way, I have this idea patented so don't even try to steal it. My money. MINE.
