How can one sin if they have no belief that God is real? I truly understand morals and values as humans. I believe we all have the ability to do good or do harm, But I do not believe that there is a God out there that is sitting back counting up our failures and even if there was a possibility of a judging God would that not take away from who Christians say God is? If the Christian God is real did he not set the human race up to fail and if so why would he send anyone to hell because he failed at making us right to start with?

They do not allow staff to wear crosses, and they do not in anyway represent the symbol they use.

Is it because no one would donate to such an organization? It sure would demonstrate to the world that we can be as "good and unselfish" as Catholic Charaties and the Salvation Army.

ive often complained about immigrants. heres an alternative to sending them back. You might find this crazy, but since most poles seem like nice people, why not evict the nasty chavs from their council estates kick them back down to the coal mines and give their houses to the poles. At least the polish arent atheists. theres no space in the UK so it would be a good alternative then there would be no more wannabe american teens walking round with hoodies, knifing people. they see me as being embarrasing for being a PROPER englishman so when i say im english id be alot happier knowing my country isnt full of lowlife scum. chavs arent proper english people anyway theyre just freaks that happen to live in england.

Or whomever they choose. Why do people put stupid questions and comments here? I would like to think we can learn something from each other. If you have ignorant comments you need to move on, or those of us who actually are looking for answers need to find another site.

Atheists argue that if there IS a supreme God, such as the Christian God, every person in the world would know it, have some sort of...divine knowledge or something...

Christians claim that God is all around them...that God gave us life, and made the world and everything we know...

Well, combine the two, perhaps? I know I know, abominations all around, but just hear me out...

Nature is really the only "higher power" everyone can agree on. We see it every day with the sun rise, wind, trees, rain, etc. Well...what if, Nature WAS the god everyone was worshiping? From the Druids, Christians, Native Americans, etc. Even atheists usually are reverant to Nature (as in, when it rains, you're normally thankful for the water in a drought, right?) So wouldn't it make at least a tad more sense to believe that the "God" everyone was worshiping is really just Nature? Not saying Nature is a deity, just that people worshipped like it WAS a deity. Be kind, no mean stuff please. Thank you.

If a hypothetical god only answers "yes", "no", and "wait" (or answers you affirmatively, negatively, or lets you wait), can you expect the same thing from any object, for example, a milk jug? people ask me why I am hateful to the idea of a god, and I tell them because he never did anything that couldn't have been coincidence, and then they ask me "why do you look at the past" or something similar to that. this is about the same as praying for 10 things, multiple times, having 1 "answered" and forgetting the 9 that weren't "answered" and being convinced that because 1(out of 10) prayer was "answered" then there must be a god. is this logical?

We ALL experience doubt. If you tell me someone has no doubt, I would say that person does not have a real faith. Faith is belief in that which cannot be proven. Faith is belief even when doubt is present.

What are some scriptural passages that you would recommend to the Christian who is going through a tough time, perhaps experiencing great doubt, or even questioning the very nature or existence of God?

I've always found the writings of Paul helpful in these times. Everything he wrote is so beautiful and mystical.

What would you recommend?

I want these people to be stripped off their rights to preach!
These people truly has no shame in taking money of their congregation.

Every 5 seconds a child dies due to hunger somewhere in the world and these are the kinds of things they are doing under Jesus name?

What should be done with these people?

If lineage is determined by father in Judaism, and pretty much every other culture out there, how can Jesus even claim to be of Davids descent when he didnt have an earthly father?

Note: Thank you to Mark S for pointing out the information of lineage in Judaism.
