How can one sin if they have no belief that God is real? I truly understand morals and values as humans. I believe we all have the ability to do good or do harm, But I do not believe that there is a God out there that is sitting back counting up our failures and even if there was a possibility of a judging God would that not take away from who Christians say God is? If the Christian God is real did he not set the human race up to fail and if so why would he send anyone to hell because he failed at making us right to start with?

I do not sin. I make mistakes and try to correct them or make amends with the person I have hurt.

Sinning is for believers only and they shall never ascribe it to me.

For, all sinners have fallen short of the logic of atheism.

I don't share your beliefs, but I respect them. However what you say about each of us being able to do good or harm is true. We all have that inside of us. I do believe, though, that we all have free will and that is what makes some of us fail.

I don't think sin is so much different than morals. Killing would still be immoral even if there were no churches or religion to tell us that. I think that those that go to hell are the ones that never learn from their mistakes and/or feel little or no regret for the bad they've done.

i believe in God. I believe in free will. God gives us the choice to do good. He did not set us up to fail he rather puts us in a situation that we as people must make the right choices. God will never put us in a situation that individuals can not overcome. it is sad that you dont believe in God. He is not up there counting your mistakes. He instead is watching and guiding you throughout everyday. I am not a church go-er, i am not an evangelist but i do and will stand up for God because i know that he does exist and he is with me.

Interesting question, Sin is an offense, in general; a violation of propriety; a misdemeanor; as, a sin against good manners and list the goes on.

So whether you want to call it harm against morals and values, it all boils down to offense against the morals and values whether you believe in God or not.

Not believing in God does not make him go away.
It is like a stone falling on your head....all the positive thinking in the world will not make that stone crush your head.
The Book of Revelations tells us that there is Paradise, and outside of it, are "the wizards, the pimps, the dogs...." dogs are godless people who live their life like dogs, without God.

From the one and only Martin Luther about sin.

God has appointed me for the whole Protestant faith, and I boldly vouch and declare that when you obey me you are without a doubt obeying not me but Christ Whoever does not, despises not me but Christ. I believe that we are the last trump that sounds before Christ is coming. What I teach and write remains true even though the whole world should fall to pieces over it. Whoever rejects my doctrine cannot be saved. Nobody should rise up against me. I have greater confidence in my wife and my pupils than I have in Christ, When I beheld Christ I seemed to see the Devil. I had a great aversion for Christ. I was horrified at the name of Christ, and when I regarded Him on the Cross, it was as if I had been struck by lightning; and when I heard His name mentioned, I would rather have heard the name of the Devil. I did not believe in Christ. God did mischievously blind me; God often acts like a madman God paralyses the old and blinds the young and thus remains master. I look upon God no better than a scoundrel God is stupid. Christ committed adultery with the woman at the well about whom Saint John tells us. Was not everybody saying: `What has he been doing with her?” Secondly, with Mary Magdalene, and thirdly with the woman taken in adultery whom He dismissed so lightly. Thus even Christ, who was so righteous, must have been guilty of fornication before He died. It does not matter what people do; it only matters what they believe. God does not need our actions. All He wants is that we pray to Him and thank Him. It does not matter how Christ behaved what He taught is all that matters. What does it matter whether we commit a new sin? Faith cancels all sin. No other sin exists in the world except unbelief, Sometimes it is necessary to commit some sin out of hatred and contempt for the Devil. What does it matter if we commit a sin. You must say my sins are not mine; they are not in me at all; they are the sins of another they are Christ's and are none of my business. Christianity is nothing but a continual exercise in feeling that you have no sin although you sin, but that your sins are thrown on Christ. From the moment you acknowledge that Christ bears your sins, He becomes the sinner in your place. Be a sinner, and sin boldly, but believe more boldly still. Not only men, but the Saints and Apostles must be sinners. The Saints must be good, downright sinners. The Apostles themselves were sinners, regular scoundrels…I believe that the prophets also frequently sinned grievously. You owe nothing to God except faith and confession. In everything else He lets you do whatever you like. You may do as you please, without any danger of conscience whatsoever. Marriage is an outward material thing like any other secular business. The body has nothing to do with God. In this respect one can never sin against God, but only against one's neighbor. The matrimonial duty is never performed without sin. The matrimonial act is a sin differing in nothing from adultery and fornication
The word and work of God is quite clear, women were made either to be wives or prostitutes. If your wife does not want sex, take another. It is not forbidden that a man cant have more than one wife.

Good point. The "original sin" "depraved human nature" myth is such a drag on spiritual development, because it causes you to question and deny who you really are, and causes so much counterproductive self-hatred.

If God is unconditional how can he set conditions on his beloved creations and burn them in hell? It would be like burning my daughter to death because she choose to make mistakes that she needs to learn to become a better person.

In your thoughts, in your words , and in your deeds

Well, I personally believe, that there is a GOD

I think that people who try to discuss the possiblity of there NOT being a God do this because they want proof that there is either a GOd or NOT a God, they need validation

I believe that this signifies Doubt, and uncertainty,

this doubt to me is reason enough , Proof in itself that there is a GOD.

And that little sliver that is in everyones mind, is the PROOF,
What you do with this is up to you, but if you want to learn to Know and Love God , then you need to open your heart and mind to HIS words,

Here is a prayer website
