That if you don't consumate your marriage at all, that you're not really considered married? Any scriptures on it? Or is that just man's law? A situation came up about this and I was just curious about it. I'm really only interested in Christians opinions. Thanks.

So.....
Now america has come to the conclusion that being "gay" is a gene. I'm sure we are all aware of the fact that "gays" have been increasing in number every single year, and oddly enough every single year it becomes more and more tolerable. So my question is.....
If being gay is not a choice, then how come back in the "old days" there were very few (if any at all), and nowadays they are everywhere and continue to grow in number. Is the gene becoming strong and mutating?

I think that there are many sources in the Bible that depicts women in various religious positions, but I don't hear many preachers, pastors, etc. come out and tell women that they are important to Christian ministry. I feel like they are holding something back. Do you feel the same?

I believe in god, but not in a religion. I used to be a catholic, but I realized how pointless the religion is, just as any religion. There is a force greater then us, we call it "god", but what makes you think he requires you to do all these religious rituals? He only cares if you are a generally good person, no need to go to church or do any rituals. Also, I do not believe in hell.

Did You hear that on the news or am i hallucinating? Was it ALL churches or just televangelists? The idea being that they have to justify their expensive homes and autos. I say Thank GOD!! and whoever voted this up. I'd be doing handsprings, but i'd be deader than a doormat halfway through the first one.

Question is -- did You hear about this? And what's YOUR reaction?

The Nobel Prize Winning Physicist Richard Feynman wrote this, and certainly in his autobiographical writing he was very open to spiritual possibilities (although not so much to religion).

And I wonder..if some scientists have lost their will to explore, and to discover, and to open their minds to all lines of enquiry, to reclaim the renaissance and seek understanding.

Scientists and Atheists have you lost your Spirit?

Quote

"A poet once said, "The whole universe is in a glass of wine." We will probably never know in what sense he said that, for poets do not write to be understood. But it is true that if we look in glass of wine closely enough we see the entire universe.

hi
recently in the uk a young lady gave birth to twins. She was married and her and her husband both follow the jehovahs witness faith. Unfortunately the mother began to bleed and due to her beliefs was unable to have a blood transfusion. Her husband also upheld his wifes belief and request. She died. What are your views on this. Do you think she should have had a transfusion so that the babies could have known and benefitted from their mother? Or due you believe they were right to uphold their beliefs even though it resulted in death?

In the pamphlet I just read, I believe it stated that the President and the two direct men underneath him (I could be getting wrong, I don't have it with me) are considered prophets, leading the Mormon Church in modern times.

Are they really considered prophets? Or are they just "Inspired" men who have been able to...inspire...and move their way up through the ranks of your church (Sorry that sounds crude, not meant to be)...I just found this really interesting.

One day I read that Dianetics could help me with my life. So I went to a Scientology Org. and did the personality test, and they pointed out all the areas that I needed to improve on and Dianetics was the way to go. I underwent about 6 hours of Auditing and felt really uncomfortable with their methods of Auditing. I keep getting pushed into buying books and courses from them. I don't want to be a part of them anymore. How do I break ties with these people?
