It is on the edge of the coin. However, there have been some reports of coins leaving the mint without that being stamped on there. I do not know how many there were or how common they are. If you have one that does not have it stamped on the edge then you might want to check and see how much they are selling for on Ebay. I doubt it is very much though or else I would have heard more about it.

In any event, what does it matter if it is not on there. We are starting to become more electronic with our money these days anyway. I rarely have actual cash on me anymore.

Yes it is. It's on the edge.

But who cares, anyway? Coins and dollars are NOT religious icons. Anyone who would have an issue with it not being on there would have to have serious faith issues. Would people not buy an oven because it doesn't have "In God We Trust" stamped on it? Then why the issue with coins?

It's on the rim. I don't care for the coin form of the dollar because it's inconvenient to carry around. It appears we're moving toward a cash-less society anyway.

You mean the new dollar quarter. oops I mean the new dollar that is supposed to not look like a quarter, but seemingly does.

Tis a joke and should be banned. They have tried and tried to foist a dollar coin on us unsuspecting Americans without success.

Got to give them credit for finding additional ways to fail the same way.

Its along the edge. Another example of retarded Christian whining...

The government should have known that this would probably cause some sort of fundie revolution. Fundamentalist idiots are too stupid to ever think to look at the edge.

Um, yes, it is, sadly. It's printed on the edge. There were, at first, some where it was accidentally left off, quickly snatched up by collectors.

I've heard, though, that it's pretty easy to grind it off.

I only wish our government would have the sense and brains to stop pandering to the superstitious. Unlikely.

i think it's symbolic. "in god we trust" has been pushed to the edges. outta sight, outta mind. well done to the person who designed it. after a year in circulation anything on the edges will be worn off.

"In God we trust" shouldn't have been one paper and coin money anyways. That just indicates worshipping of Satan. And we all know Money is the Root of all Evil!

Besides that... America is going to get the missiles anyways for sinning out of control and not humbling itself before God.
