Great question. Here's a blog from a Christian viewpoint on atheism that turned into a series with atheists responses. a great read if you want to understand both worldviews!

everybody is different, just because you dont believe in god, dosent mean that all people think that fate is what happens... for example, fate might not even have anything to do with anything if all you do when you die is just lie there no matter how good or bad you are... it depends on the person if an athiest believes in fate

I think pretty much no atheist believes in fate.

I don't, but I'm not speaking for all of us.

I think that a lot of stuff happens for some reason (butterfly effect if you will) but not any sort of fate.

huh?
I hate questions that lump a group together..."all atheists" don't believe in anything in particular. Atheists (and it is only capitalized at the beginning of a sentence, FYI) specifically don't believe in deities or supernatural beings in general. That's it.

Fate in the way you seem to be using it sounds like a supernatural or paranormal force...karma etc. That is just superstitious, and as I said, we aren't superstitious.

Fate? As in a pre-ordained future that cannot be changed?

Nope.

Of Course. And so do you. What happens will happen. No matter what you believe. You can't change it or stop it.
