They believe in some ancient book of rubbish because their parents have told them to since birth. I wouldn't worry!

Yes, it is a choice, because it is a conscious behavior, not an ethnicity or race. Homosexuals make a conscious choice to have sex with a member of the same sex; it isn't "out of their control". They got it into their heads that this is an acceptable form of fornication because somewhere along the way, someone told them that it was "perfectly normal" to do this - despite the fact that only 50 years ago, homosexuality was considered a mental illness. They are messed up in their heads because, in most cases, they were sexually abused as children, which gave them their first taste of sexuality, and if it happened to be by a man, then they became attracted to men. There is always a psychological reason why people are gay, but that still doesn't make it "normal".

I'm christian and im fine with gay people I just dont see why a person is going to say, "i was born that way" NOBODY is born gay, kids these days do it for attention, and the people who use that excuse "i was abused when i was a child"
i think that is ridiculous, i was raped from the ages 5-7 every other day by the girl who lived behind me and was told if i told any one then i would be introuble, and i am not gay in any way. Later on when i was 12 (last christmas vacation) my older brother raped me when he was visiting from oregon, he never apologized and hasnt been allowed back since.SO the people who use those stupid excuses for being gay need to go fall off a bridge because i am straight and it will stay that way.

Being gay is not a choice. It's genetic and biological in origin. If being gay was a choice, there wouldn't be hardly any gay people in the world, because many people are anti-gay and discriminate against gay people. I believe God creates everyone of us, and some of us are created gay.

Father K:
You are absolutely disgusting. How dare you put that ex-gay garbage on here. You are very sick indeed. You should be charged and thrown in jail.

You don't choose who you love. Love chooses you.

Christians who condemn people who are gay and call it a choice are usually christians who are afraid of their own sexuality, including the fact that they themselves are or may be gay or bisexual.

Fear and ignorance motivates many people, including those who call themselves christian, to hate. Fortunately, the sane, moderate people in this world are moving forward to acceptance of gay people, as the world becomes more accustomed to gays who live openly.

When you become used to something, you learn more about it and your fear becomes understanding and acceptance.
Eventually, gay marriage will be as acceptable and common in this country as m/f marriage.

And if you don't like your name, you can choose to legally change it. :)

Okay, first of all, Sex is sacred in Marriage between a MAN and a WOMAN. Peeeeriod! Sex is there to reproduce human life! IN MARRIAGE! How are gay people going to produce babies (unless they try to play God by using a fertilizer)?
Why do you think the world we live in is so ****** up? Because we keep sinning and sinning and sinning and God is upset! He is angry! And we will get his wrath too! Why do you think Cali burning and Katrina destroyed sin-city? Why do you think we're in war?
Nah, instead you got women who get down with just about every dude they meet and have babies. Nobody there to take care of these kids, coz she single and gotta work. So there ain't no Dad in the home and other people practically raise your kids.
And yes, God gave us a free will. But if you don't want him He ain't gon' want you either. If you're gay, God ain't dealing with you. You might as well sign a contract with the devil and sell your soul for some good and wealthy life that you better enjoy to the fullest, coz you gon' end up in Hell... AMEN!

So true. despite what the so called Christian leaders say, being gay is nobody's personal preference. Its time that people started telling those self righteous preachers to shut the hell up about things they don't know!

ones sexual preference is not a choice anymore than a strait persons choosing to be strait.
If they were true Christians they would love you for what you are and never judge you for your sexual orientation.
Hatred is usually derived from ignorance.

Most religions have the wrong answer to things they cannot understand. However, the Catholic Church teaches that it is not a sin to be a homosexual, just to have homosexual relations. This doesn't make sense to me, but it answers the question.

What makes me attracted to girls with pink or purple hair? What makes me attracted to hot Asian girls or girls in catholic school girl uniforms?

Was I born with an attraction to Japanese girls with pink hair and short skirts or was this something I developed along the way of my life based on various factors of my environment? Not saying people are not born gay, but surely what I find sexy and attractive now is not something I was attracted to as a toddler... personally I think attractions are learned.
