'For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.' Galatians 5:6

Isn't this another example of tradition gone wrong?

I love my best friend, I truly do. But some of the things she does really bother me. She doesn't get along with her family too well so I'm always letting her stay at my house when she becomes upset. I invite her for dinner all of the time because she never has any food at her house. I would never turn anybody down for a meal and my mother, being 100% Italian, cooks to feed an army. However, I feel that sometimes the hospitality is not reciprocated.

Whenever we go out for meals at a restaurant, I'm always the one who winds up paying more...and she's the one with the full time, high paying job. I have yet to graduate college and have a below minimum wage job at a department store. She also never says thank you to my family for her meals and says that she doesn't have to say thank you to me because "I'm not the one paying for the food." But I'm the one who allows her to come over for her meals, so shouldn't I get at least a little bit of a thank you?

Either the Bible doesn't mean what it says or there is a deceiving double standard!

Gen 22:1 - KJV
And it came to pass after these things, that GOD DID TEMPT Abraham, and said unto him...

Abraham actually fell under God's temptation! Abraham was all set IN HIS HEART to sacrifice Isaac. In fact, the blade of his sharp knife was just about to slice his son's throat when he was stopped! He was obviously doing it without any remorse or any tears! Christians know that God accepts human burnt offerings like Jephthah's daughter, too - Judges 11

Abraham and Jephthah are among the top Heroes of the Faith in the NT - Hebrews 11

Jesus said that anyone coming up with an impure thought in his/her heart is just as bad as having it done!

God always forbid sacrificing to Moloch, but he doesn't mind getting some himself!

I know that Christians abhor human sacrifices, but God is on record tempting and freely receiving them!

Don't look, but I'm confused and you should, too!

OF COURSE WE CAME FROM MONKEYS!!!

The sister group of the apes is the Old World monkeys. The common ancestor of apes and Old World monkeys was a monkey.

And don't say "We came from a common ancestor" without specifying what sort of creature we had this ancestor in common with.

The common ancestor of humans and apes was an ape.

The common ancestor of humans and monkeys was a monkey.

The common ancestor of humans and fish was a fish.

Got it?

Asalaamualaikum,

you may have seen the question about wearing a hijab which I posted a couple of days ago. Since then I decided I wanna go for it and wear one. But now I have a problem. My mum's belief is that a lady should always be dressed up, wear make up, wear jewelry etc and wear "short, pretty" clothes to keep her husband happy. I was gonna discuss with her, the fact that I wanna wear the hijab but after hearing this, I already know her answer...she wont allow me to wear it. But I WANT TO WEAR IT FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH SWT. How can I convince her to let me wear it? I am more concerned with pleasing my Lord than any man.

I have always dated darker men because they always seem to like me more than the regualrs I grew up with. Why is that? Also, what do you darker men like (or look for) in bigger women?

Just an odd question that was floating around in my head.

the idea that races even exist astounds me. There is no such thing as "race"; just gene pools that are indigenous to certain geographical areas. Asians, for example, do not exist. There are simply people who posess certain physical features that would cause them to be classified as asian. If everyone looked and acted exactly the same people would not be able to discriminate against others based on these attributes. Likewise, the only reason people DO look and act differently is because they are and raised differently. And people are all exactly the same aside from the way we look and act, so you may as well say that everyone IS exactly the same. So how can anyone discriminate if we "are" all exactly the same?

Wolf asked him how he felt about Homosexuality and Homosexual marriages. Joel first stated that he believed that God wants a man to marry a woman and Joel feels that is how God created us. Wolf asked him how he felt about homosexuals claiming that they were born homoseuxal. Joel responded that he wasn't sure about all that and just didn't understand it enough to comment. Say What? Then in regards to homosexuals wanting to have the same marriage privilages as other married couples Joel again states he wasn't sure about that and just didn't understand the issue enough to comment on that as well. Uh say what again? Joel just stated before those questions he believed God's intensions was for a man to marry a woman and we were created this way. Seems to me he UNDERSTANDS PERFECTLY......but hey I understand he wants to be POLITICALLY CORRECT. I myself, rather will be Biblically correct and stand. Shame on you Joel. Anybody else care to comment on this?

I know this might be a tad innapropriate question.. but since it is in the same category and since both groups essentially want equality what are your opinions? Are you on par for/against LGBT people? Do you feel that you have things in common because of the need for equality and respect and to be treated like everyone else?
