Why,,,that is the original Christian Put-Down Preface. It absolves them from the sin of arrogance and not loving thy neighbor.
Excellent question.

Atheists look to assume The understand each and every little thing. They Use Misguiding And actual (particularly actual) info To Get Their element for the duration of. Many Atheists Are incredibly Prideful And For some reason they think of That God/faith Is For The susceptible, the assumption Of Being Created by using A Divine Entity Is "susceptible". confident they'd. All they choose Is acceptance. They the two could give up attempting to Stuff Their ideals Down different Peoples Throats. only like Christians (who declare they're going to bypass to hell) They Use The info Of "hundreds of thousands have died as a consequence of worshiping god" Or "god won't be able to exist by way of fact of (insert bias info)". Atheists And Christians Behave So comparable, Why won't be able to We Get alongside?

Simply because non-beleivers are rather defensive when someone has an opinion that differs from theirs.
Christians actually care about the feelings of others, so we have to walk lightly upon the feelings of those too sensitive to hear that they made a mistake or wasted energy in the past.
The same happens to people who are Republican, but still defend George Bush after all this! They feel that they have to protect their little vote or risk looking silly. You aren't silly for voting Republican. You aren't silly for being an atheist.
Just look at the other side before vote or worship.

Because we're human and make mistakes too...although I've never actually heard this said. Further more I have a friend who's a major atheist and she would say something like that to me before I would to her.....so the same thing can happen the other way. It's just the personality of the individual.

because they actually do mean to put you down but they are afraid of you getting offended at them because then they fear they might be looked upon poorly by their apparitional overlords...it's like crossing your fingers when you tell a lie.
Think about it...somebody says, "nothing personal but..." Is there any other way for you to take it...of course it's personal...if it weren't, they wouldn't bother with the charade.
Christians, by definition, need to hide behind something else and are philosophically incapable of taking full responsibility for the outcome of their actions. Sin and salvation are the cornerstones of their religion and their conjoined existence implies a helpless fatality on the part of religious adherents.

Everyone does that.. even atheists agnostics. And I think ppl do it b/c they are trying to make themselves feel as if they don't have any rock solid preconceived ideas about any group of people. No one wants to admit that they may have some big biases. It's ok, everyone does. At some point everyone has used a stereotype to judge someone else.

Thats their way of trying to make us believe that they really don't consider themselves totally superior to everyone else, which we all know is a crock of bulls**t.
Just look at the rediculous questions that usually follow that preface.

Because they think if they do not "offend" you, you may choose to convert. There is still a chance for you. As for those of us in non-Christian religions, we don't even get that courtesy from many of them. We just get interrogated and yelled at. No joke. I think they believe we wont ever be Christian because we already believe in another faith system.
not saying atheism is not a religion, but it is not a faith based system. It is based only on what can be proven.

That's a sure sign that they're about to put you down, of course. The fact that they don't even realize that they're doing it is the truly sad part.
I suppose that SOMEONE has told them that apologizing is the same thing as behaving with courtesy; sort of like the way they've been taught to ask forgiveness, and then turn around and do the same thing over again, maybe?

They are being arrogant and they sure do mean to put non-believers down and it wouldn't matter what the Athiest asked or what he said they would not listen even if the argument was good.
