NO WAY! I LOVE Christmas!!!!

Yep, it's the most annoying time of the year.

First of all there's the advertising that starts in October and escalates to fever pitch.

Then there's the naff carols being piped into every office, shop, sports centre, restaurant etc. from here to Timbuctoo.

Then there's the work's do, which is invariably a stinking curry with a load of idiots you normally only tolerate because you would lose your job if you just beat them like they deserve - only now they're pissed and trying to snog you whilst brandishing a twig.

And the annoying fact that if you don't suscribe very obviously to another religion it's just assumed that you celebrate the Christmas festival for some reason, despite making your complete and total atheism very obvious the rest of the year round. So everybody expects you to waste your hard earned cash on trashy cards and "secret santa" gifts for the same pillocks you normally want to kill on a dailly basis.

Forget trying to actually get anywhere or buy anything you need in the four weeks leading up to the great day, because every town centre is rammed full of the worst type of cretins, high on consumerism and Special Brew, fighting eachother for the last Wii console or whatever this year's non-available but must have item is and letting their seventeen children run amok.

For some reason random distant relations seem to think you suddenly want a visit from them - or worse - you should travel half way across the country to visit them, despite the fact you haven't spoken to them since this time last year and cannot name a single fact about them beyond their names, address and possibly what they do for a living.

Then there's the day itself. What a boring waste of 24hours!!! All your mates have to do family stuff, everything's closed so you can't do anything with your day off work, there's a load of shite on TV that's either a repeat of the last ten years' offerings, or the usual soaps you avoid on account of their utter shiteness, except their doing an hour long special wearing tinsel scarves and paper hats - and somebody's relation is bound to be at your house so you have to make an effort not to say f'uck too often or it will cause a row...

The best thing to do, I'm certain, is to go into the middle of nowhere with a stash of porn and case of beer for a week, or visit a Muslim/Hindu etc. country...

Not necessarily Anti-Christmas, but definitely the ever increasing commercial aspects, which bring about the things that you mention. This year, it seems to have started earlier than ever.. I know that's a cliche, but I can't remember seeing so many Christmas adverts on TV, or gifts in shops before at this time of year.. Even the 'Christmas Shop' in my town has been up and running for some time now. The sad thing is that amongst all this madness, the real joy and meaning of this time of celebration is lost.. Once Christmas day is done with that's pretty much it.. Crazy..

Its the only time of year I wish I was a man. Because I just can't be arssshed with the hypocrisy of the so called religious celebration and being forced to sending cards to people I meet every day!!. If I receive a present and it is at any other time of the year, then WOW thats uplifting, but all this faffing and fussing makes me sick and its still November and Tescos blooody well have a tree up and all their Christmas range out. God I wish I could go somewhere hot to escape - do you want to come with me and moan about Christmas on a sunsoaked island with a cool drink and nothing to do?

I'm not anti. Christmas's...but Christmas's gets worst every year no matter how hard i try...and believe me Ive tryed...and i do it for my brother hes 6 years younger...and i want hes life to be the best it can...but, like i said its hard to make this possible....i started to celebrate Christmas's when i moved to California ..where I'm from there's new years.. but no Santa..i was a Christmas's present for my mother..they had abandon me ..and they realized there mistake and yeah... that's how i met my parents..i tough all that time that they where dead...etc..and that Christmas's should have been a celebration...but something in me grew..my first Christmas's at the age of 7 was the first time i felt hate towards someone i disliked many in my pass but it made me built hate...sense then..presents i really don't want and don't need.. because all i wanted is to be happy in a family and to give happiness...Christmas's symbolizes that..but every year a lost of friends, family members..etc...it never stopes..and my grandfather died this year and its the first Christmas's hes not with us....idk Christmas's is not for me...ill see what happens in my Christmas's this year.....

I'm a woman & I hate the whole thing! When I did have family & celebrated I still avoided the malls & did my shopping throughout the year. Every time I saw something I knew someone would like, I bought it & saved it for Christmas. Now most of my family is dead & I'm no longer religious, so, what's the point?

WATS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE?!
THEY GO ON ABOUT HOW THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS IS BEING TAKEN AWAY , BUT ITS PEOPLE LIKE THEM WHO ARE DOING IT. ITS MEANT TO BE A HAPPY TIME WHEN WE CELEBRATE JESUS BIRTH. MOST IMPORTANTLY A TIME TO CELEBRATE FAMILY. THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE CHRISTMAS JSUT THE WAY IT IS ARE THE PEOPLE YOU NEED TO ASPIRE TO. AND IF YOU HATE IT SO MUCH , WHY DONT YOU MAKE IT YOUR OWN!!

I am Anti- buying gifts for everyone in the world and going broke.
I am Anti-Having to put up with drivers who only seem to take to the roads at Christmas and don't remember how.
I am Anti- Long lines and no parking spaces.
But I love the lights...I love family get togethers and I love watching the kids get excited...that never grows old!

Not exactly "anti Christmas" but wish it would go back to the way it was when I was a wee lassie. We were overjoyed tae get a torch, box of sweeties and an Oor Wullie annual. Nowadays, it seems tae be a battle tae see who can spend the most!!

I love Christmas... as long as I get all my shopping done before November and I stock up on food for the next 2.5 months (neither of which ever works out).

I love Christmas, I wish it was December all the time. I love to shop, I love to give gifts, I love the crowds and the traffic. The Christmas spirit is the BEST!!!
