it's called IGNORANCE and since color is all some people SEE it's not easy to explain to them that we are all ONE and color shouldn't be looked at.
even when you talk to someone who says they're not racist you see that they look at you as the color they see and they mention it (which should also be seen as racism because it is and shouldn't be brought up in the first place.
especially is the person calling the color says he/she isn't racist

I hope you read what you wrote. It doesn't even make sense. You would have a difficult time trying to convince Oriental People they were not Asian, Black People they were not black, etc.etc. I'm sure there is somewhere you could go on this planet that would meet your needs. What ever gene pool you are from. You could mix your gene pool any way you would like, not gene pool, sorry, I mean your physical features Then you would be happy. As far as the rest of the planet I would say 98% believe in the race and gene theory regardless to their geographical location. I would venture to say most are pretty happy about where they got their genes and features and race and geographical location. Good Luck, write us and tell us where you are located, on this planet, with people who actually believe what you say. P.S. I love my race and my gene pool. And, my physical features aren't bad either. Thank God.

The term Race is not solely used as color of skin and physical characteristics of a person or group of people. Race, used as slang, is a group of people of with the same color, religion, and stereotype. The key word there is stereotype. People who stereotype others are causing great amounts of racism. Asians are "something derogatory". That groups a whole race as being that. So people then see Asian people and think what they heard bad about them.
But that is modern day Racism. Our fathers and their fathers have political reasons for being racist, which is where are culture gets it from, without knowing why we shouldn't like a certain race, we just know we shouldn't. For example, the US fought in many wars with many countries, many US citizens have racism against opposing races from the countries we fought against, Vietnamese, Germans, etc.. Many Caucasians are racist against Africans because of Affirmative Action. I don't believe there will ever be no racism. Hell, we do it within our own races. The North hates the South, racism will always be part of every culture in every country.

Racism is learned and not something you are born with. It is learned from others. When someone acts differently , thinks differently or looks differnt, that doesnt sit well with some. Some people can only be open to the people same as they are. They dont considerate everyone as exactly the same. I understand your reasoning but not everyone can think like that and thus creating racism/discrimination. Wish more people would understand your reasoning.

Just think of humans as breeds of dogs, yes we are all suppose to all come from the same place but as time went on different looks (Races/Breeds) came out. And just like dogs certain breeds have certain characterizes. Like Whites have are suppose to have stronger fatter muscles, while blacks have skinnier and sleeker making them faster. And again, Just like dogs, it doesn't mean that there are not acceptations to the general categories that separate races but in general Each races has different abilities that are passed down be there gene code. One day we all are probably be so blended that it really will only be on race, but then I debt that the discrimination will be about wear you come from not what you look like; instead of both.

I took a sociology class before and I learned that when people think of 'race', they think ethnicity. We are all one race, the human race. If one were to use the word in terms of ethnic background, I'd rather just go with ethnicity, than race. Good thing I took that class. It really opened my eyes.
As for racism in general, I never understood why people discriminate someone because one is different than the other. It's just external differences and upbringing. That's it.

I see what you are saying but there are some differences between some humans that others choose to point out and criticize.
The saying "familiarity breeds discontent" is often what comes to my mind...even why you have a group of people that are all form the same area and look similar in appearance they still find a way to discriminate. England comes to my mind with the whole "gingerism" issue....we are silly humans

I like your attitude, but fact is, if someone looks and acts different, they're not "the same" are they?
I tend to look at a person's character rather than physical attributes. If we judge a person by WHO they are, rather than WHAT they are, life becomes much easier.
Will Rogers once said "I never met a man I didn't like." What I believe is, "I never met a man I didn't like, but after meeting some men, I didn't like them!"
Oh, and that includes women too, if you're wondering.
Bottom line, it is my belief no one should judge another person merely on appearance or where they're from, but rather from how they present themselves, who they are... their character.

Races are pretty arbitrary. Especially the ones that cause trouble in the US. 'Hispanic' for instance, is completely made-up by the US Census. Outside the US, no one identifies thier /race/ as hispanic. 'White' lumps together everything from Persian to Irish. American 'Blacks' virtually all have some european ancestors. 'Asian' includes Pakistanis and Indians who are actually caucasian.
Scientists studying genetics have found they can't determine someone's 'race' by analyzing genetic markers with any degree of accuracy at all. It's all completely arbitrary and absurd.

People don't think like you do, they see that someone in china a couple thousand miles away is shorter, different color skin, talks weird, and makes all the toys, so they assume they are a fundamentally different race altogether. People don't use their heads and are self centered and unconscientous
