Yes, a few of the High Schools, have had craft fairs. In fact they started in August. I am just so sick of this early Christmas rush. The retailers are just scared that they won't make enough money, due to the lax economy. I just wish people would not cow-down to their antics and not buy in to their spend, spend attitude. Give them a real rude awakening, that things are going down the toilet fast. But of course that is only wishful thinking. Everybody will rush out and buy and put themselves in more debt. Wake up people!!!

I used to go to craft sales and bizaars this time of year to pick
up one of a kind ornaments or something related to the
decorating theme I have. Now I'm not able to walk far. So that
lets me out. But yes, they are already having them. There was
one last weekend in the Portland area. And I'm sure there
are lots each weekend, between now and the last weekend
prior to Christmas. They are listed in the newspaper about
the first weekend of November. So they have already been
published. There is a large Christmas Bazaar held in a
special location every year, that they charge admission to.
I went once and felt it was not an enducement to go another
year. They charge $5.00 to get in, and that doesn't entitle you
to anything. But it has the largest collection of vendors you'd
ever expect to see. I learned most of these people travel a
circuit from one large city to another trying to sell all of their
stock of merchandise. They travel in motor coaches and
motor homes and travel trailers and regular trailers. And
they come from various locations across the US. Many of
them are retired and try to earn extra money to help support
themselves, from what I've learned. Especially those who have come from the southern areas selling turquoise jewelry.
I used to rely on shows like that to get into the Christmas
spirit early. And I do miss going to them now.

No, it will be in a few weeks. We have it every year at the city's arena building, a college stadium and a convention centre. All on the same weekend. There's women everywhere!!
I stopped going 5 or so years ago. I prefer going antique hunting instead of buying crafts.

Yes, I went to one in Oct. at a church in the area. My friend who goes to the senior center said they are getting ready for a craft fair. I've seen several more advertised that are also coming up.

One of a Kind craft show (which is huge) will start Nov. 22, running until Dec. 2, in Toronto. I haven't heard of others just yet. I'm attaching a link, in case anyone is interested in details.

They started a couple of weeks ago and will continue up until mid dec. I love wandering around them, sometimes they have tea or lunch. Nothing like home cooking and home baking.
