I think I am as good person as a Christian, always ready to help others, I don't kill or rob people etc, and I wonder if despite of this God is going to punish me and send me to Hell.
What do you think?

like from lying to murdering...it's all sin. can sin be worse than it already is?
what is the difference, sin is sin right?
and if we, as christians, are washed with the blood of jesus, then why do we STILL sin every day?! are we still sinners at heart?
i don't think any person can tell if someone is TRULY a christian...idk, i could be wrong.
Any thoughts?

Why isn't it 100%? Could it be that the Bible is fallible? Oh, and if any of you 40% are here on Answers, I might as well provide you with this link to drill your beliefs into the ground.

I also want to reiterate my previous question. Why do Christians ignore all of the contradictions and inaccuracies in the Bible? Why do they change their story when part of it is proven to be false? This time I'm proving links so I won't get a million "THE BIBLE HASN'T BEEN PROVEN WRONG LOLOLOLOL" answers this time.

I really can't understand the Catholic belief that we have to pay for our sins. Or that we have to go to purgatory to finish paying for our sins. Didn't Jesus pay for our sins? Did He somehow not pay enough according to Catholics? Can someone explain this to me? When I repent daily my sins are forgiven and totally wiped away. How can I pay for something that does not exist? How could I possibly add to the price Jesus paid?

I am catholic and I really want to believe in Jesus and Heaven and I truly do but sometimes when I think about it, it just seems so unrealistic. Its a beautiful thing to believe in but sometimes I have my doubts. Does everyone really believe there is a life out there that we go to when we die?

I declare to know Jesus Christ, but I read He rebuked those listenining to Him, saying, in John 8:19 "If you have known me, ye should have known My Father also."

Why do people believe in a 2000 year old book with a bunch of stories that have absolutely no evidence that it actually happened? And what simple modern day science is proving wrong a countless number of times?

What do you think about this? Are we at 'the end of days' because of all this? (meaning, is this controversy, greediness, etc, the devil in disguise?) Do people even have real faith anymore? there are lots of articles going around about the feds getting involved. what's YOUR opinion?

From my experience, many Christians also believe (to some extent) in astrology. Are they compatible?

I.E. Atheists stop critisizing Christians, vise-versa.

Muslims stop critisizing gays, and other religions, and vise-versa.

Buddhists are basically the most peaceful spiritual body I'm seeing right now.

But my point is, shouldn't we just leave each other alone? If being gay makes somebody happy, I think they should just be happy and shut up about it. If you don't believe there is a God, go ahead, and we'll leave you alone.

You see what I'm saying? Just leave each other alone. What you think?

I know a lot of people (including myself) don't respect them, because they're only around whenever the cameras are rolling. In my opinion, they treat every situation like a photo op, and I can't respect a man who would do that. That goes especially for Al Sharpton. But I can't help but wonder if people will honor them and their works whenever they die. I also wonder if MLK and Malcolm X dealt with the same problems up until they were assassinated. People are always praised whenever they die for a cause, so would people praise Sharpton and Jackson if they were slain?

I've never heard a single one. With the possible exception of Michael Behe's stuff, which as far as I can tell is merely incorrect, not actually dishonest. But if there is one single honest argument in favour of creationism, I'd very much like to hear it.

Here's a tip, though - if you even think of citing Kent Hovind or Ken Ham or Ray Comfort, you've already failed, so don't bother.

When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know.I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it.

A man answered, saying "Hello."I politely said, "This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?"Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear "Get the right f***ing number!" and the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude .

When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits. After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled "You're an asshole!" and hung up.

I wrote his number down with the word 'asshole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an asshole!" It always cheered me up.

When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic 'asshole' calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, "Hi,this is John Smith from the telephone company. I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?"He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone. I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're an asshole!" and hung up.

One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking Spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me. I noticed a "For Sale" sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number. A couple of days later, right after calling the first asshole (I had is number on speed dial,) I thought that I'd better call the BMW asshole, too.

I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?"He said, "Yes, it is." I asked, "Can you tell me where I can see it?" He said, "Yes, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax. It's a yellow ranch, and the car's parked right out in front."

I asked, "What's your name?" He said, "My name is Don Hansen," I asked, "When's a good time to catch you, Don?" He said, "I'm home every evening after five."

I said, "Listen, Don, can I tell you something?"

He said, "Yes?"

I said, "Don, you're an asshole!"

Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too.

Now, when I had a problem, I had two assholes to call.

Then I came up with an idea. I called asshole #1. He said, "Hello." I said, "You're an asshole!" (But I didn't hang up.) He asked, "Are you still there?" I said, "Yeah," He screamed, "Stop calling me," I said, "Make me," He asked, "Who are you?" I said, "My name is Don Hansen." He said, "Yeah? Where do you live?" I said, "Asshole, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, a yellow ranch, I have a black Beamer parked in front." He said, "I'm coming over right now, Don. And you had better start saying your prayers." I said, "Yeah, like I'm really scared, asshole," and hung up.

Then I called Asshole #2. He said, "Hello?" I said, "Hello, asshole," He yelled, "If I ever find out who you are..." I said, "You'll what?" He exclaimed, "I'll kick your ***," I answered, "Well, asshole, here's your chance. I'm coming over right now."

Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, and that I was on my way over there to kill my gay lover.

Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang war going down in Oaktree Blvd. In Fairfax.

I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax. I got there just in time to watch two assholes beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter and surrounded by a news crew.

NOW I feel much better. Anger management really does work.

Both of our Religions believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and both Religions agree about everything about Jesus. However they believe several other variations of the Christian Religion that we do not agree with in the least. However the Mormans go around and spread their beliefs to the Population. I believe they are better at sharing they're beliefs then the Christians. You never hear about Christians going door to door to talk to people. What I'm trying to get at, is I don't understand why a lot of Christians shun Mormans. I don't really have a problem with them. A lot of people don't like what they don't understand. Just because the two religions disagree on certain subjects, they have similar goals. So why don't Christians and Mormans fellowship with each other? They don't have to get together and have religious debates or anything, but why can't we be friendly? Any thoughts?

where they must "prove their faith" and that somehow, Jews have an "automatic IN" with G-d?

Just a curious question as I have noticed that "some" Christians seem to have a belief that because Jews are considered, "The Chosen People" then all others are somehow "inferior" in some way.

Personally, being Jewish myself, I believe we are all equal in the eyes of G-d, regardless of our beliefs, but I'm curious to know how others perceive this concept.

Perseption vs Con-ception: In Sunday and Sabath schools i wuz (was) told that Jesus iz (is) the Son of God and that he iz God. Yet in the KJV Bible much more iz said about Moses, Abraham, Daniel, Isaiah, and many more prophets than Imannuel the Messiah the European gentiles called Jesus Christ. I wuz told in Sunday school prior to attending Sabath school, that Jesus wrote on the ground when he wuz told to stone a woman caught in adultery. Wuz Immanuel a writer? Then how come we do not have one Book of this great prophet writings in the KJV Bible? Yahoo subscribers please talk to me and many more who would love to be edukated in the Truth.

I'm a single mother (the ONLY single parent in my family) and it seems as though my family feels sorry for me. They have given me food or mailed me money, bought my kids coats and shoes in the winter...like you would a homeless person. I have reiterated to them on several occasions that we are just fine. I make plenty of money to support all of us. My kids always have what they need...they are wearing coats and new shoes BEFORE someone gives it to us. How to I *politely* tell them that we don't need or want to accept handouts? I'm perfectly fine with b-day/Christmas gifts, because I enjoy giving gifts too. But we're not needy and I would like them to stop acting as if we are. Please help!

Do you believe in miracles?
Like turning water into wine, walking on water, talk to the fishes, turn a VERY dead person into a living person, transform
people into statues of salt, etc, etc, etc?
I just wonder why didn't Jesus transform the roman soldiers into a bunch of losers and kicked their arses out of Jerusalem.
I call that a miracle that a miracle did not happen when was so much needed to save his people from slavery. That might explain why God works in misterious ways that never help who most need it.
