Matthew 16:18
"I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

Church = ekklesia, special gathering or assembly.

The actual word church is derived from kyridakon - which points back to the word lord.

In essence the church has become our new lord, a power structure. So the "church" today is not very scriptual in this respect and does LORD over us doesn't it?

What are your thoughts?

I've read alot of things on here that make sense and I'm starting to question my beliefs...it all makes sense, evolution, the big bang theory, science....

I was brought up Christian, had religion shoved down my throat as a teenager, went through a 'rebellious state' and studied wicca and paganism..and now...im starting to really question Christianity.....

How did you deal with it (when you were questioning if you even did)

Sorry, I'm sure this sounds silly, but I was just cerious after reading an answer from a Muslim;

The punishment for rebellion according the Romans was Crucifixion and for blasphemy its being stoned.

So this proves that Jesus (upon him peace) wasn't changing the religion of the Jews he was abrogating certain things and clearing others. In Islam Jesus (upon him peace) is a Prophet and we believe that it was those after him who changed and separated it from Judaism."

OK, Ok am i wrong. I would love to be dressed top to toe in latex with only nose holes and obviuosly a zip for penetration and extraction reasons. And have stuff done to me.

I would also really get off dressing someone else in smimilar and tesing them and doing stuff as they lay/stand/sit helpless totally under my control. Also i wouldn;'t mind doing breathplay where someone puts a re-breathe bag on or contricts my airflow, or i do the same.

And Does anyone else have a similar thing. I love the look of rubber and the feel. :oP

As mentioned above, we are all sinners and based on what the bible says as long as we believe in Jesus we shall never perish. That was the point of Jesus dying - he paid the ultimate sacrifice for sin. As far as homosexuals are concerned the bible clearly condemns it but the bible talks mostly about LUST. I feel homosexuality where you have sex with anyone without love can be a perversion but why doesn't the bible speak of a loving faithful monogamous relationship? The bible does not mention anything about this. In fact when Jesus was preaching he gave a new law - to love one another. Do you feel that that God sends all homosexuals to hell? We all should repent our ways but what if you are in fellowship with Christ but don't repent everything - or slip here and there - you still go to hell? I thought the whole point of Jesus dying was for our sins and we should recognize that and follow him. Opinions on the above please -

There are millions of people walking around today who were pronounced dead at some point in the past. If it could be established beyond a reasonable doubt that Jesus walked the earth after his crucifiction, why wouldn't you conclude simply that he was taken down off the cross while he was still alive?

Fear is truly a mindkiller. An indoctrination based on fear has lasting affects when taught to young children.

Now that I am 30 I still have some chains of fear from those early teachings. With time, study, and wisdom they are weakening.

How many struggle with the same? This can apply to any sort of fear teaching by any group.
