Why didn't God just give Moses the 10 Commandments of a piece of papayrus or birchbark--something a bit easier on an old man's back than those massive hunks of stone?

If I understand their issue, they want to get more of the profits from DVD and internet sales. They write the stuff, so I don't see anything wrong with that.

I posted a similar thing yesterday, under the assumption that everyone already knew this. But people thought I was full of it. Fact is, even the evangelicals are aware that the numbers of American believers is gradually decreasing, even though their voice is just as loud as ever.

Each generation has more atheists and agnostics than the one before. percentages are of atheists/agnostics:

Age 18-22 19%
Age 23-41 14%
Age 42-60 9%
Age 61+ 6%

"The study shows that 16- to 29-year-olds exhibit a greater degree of criticism toward Christianity than did previous generations when they were at the same stage of life."

Even though Christians are in the majority, these people who call themselves "Christians" have a very watered down version from what their grandparents did. It gets more watered down every generation.

Creationists assert a young earth of approximately 5,800 years give or take a few years. How come we have galaxies millions of light years away? Shouldn't they only be about six thousand light years away or less?

There are quite a few religions on Earth and few that claim to be "The" religion. I personally find it hard to comprehend that there is more than one "True" religion. Shouldn't it be obvious to ALL of mankind what the Truth is?

This principal is one reason I chose to seek answers elsewhere, mainly in science.

why do many non-Muslims do so, and why don't people try to look on the teachings on Islam first,

I cannot believe that Americans don't understand the wearing of a poppy to honour the war dead.I have just answered a question on wearing poppys and the Americans are asking what poppy.So I was just wondering what they do to honour and respect all their fellow American service men that died to protect not only theirs but other countries?

Over the years, like so many others. I always wondered why violence and drugs in the US has grown more and more. I'm talking as a whole not singling anyone out.
I would like to hear your reasons why this is snowballing out of control...and maybe a solution in a nutshell (if that could be done) that could start reversing this problem.

(As a british muslim) Everytime i come on YA there's almost always ignorant views against Islam/muslims.
I don't know if its because people don't understand the religion, dont want to understand it, or are just plain numb in the head that they don't get anything, so i'd like to hear from non-muslims their views on Islam as a religion and why you have that opinion?

Why alot of people hate muslims for the 11th of september....i dont know but i cant find what happened in that day was horrible and 100% not islamic...and why people cant understand that every culture has its bad and its good people? and also why cant they hate the one who did it and not look to his relegion...? am a muslim but i hate who did what happened in that day....not because of his relegion but because what he has done is bad...
and even here in jordan before like 3 years...some arab people bombed 3 hotels...and in one of the hotels there was a wedding alot of people died...and we hated who did it not the country he or she was from....
