i could see so many discussion here.! no body has said that men and women are equal as god created us..!! It implies Catholics desire only power..!!!
And no one spoke about that lady pope getting pregnant by her companion....!!
She was lady so people could find it out..!! what if it was man??? he cannot be pregnant .. so most of his sins are hidden..??

+ Women Priests and Popes +
The Catholic Church currently teaches:
The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed them in their ministry.
The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.

+ Pope Joan +
The legend of Pope Joan has little or no documentation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Joan

I am not a Catholic. The story I learned about Pope Joan or Pope Lady Agnus is that she was a pious person and was a genuine preacher and leader of Church. Her 'sex' was discovered only when her body was bathed for funeral. She may have been a woman or a trans sexual, but a pious and religious person throughout her life. The survivors in the Church may have preferred to put a veil on her identity The common man would not have accepted the fact of a lady as a Pope.

Catholics also believe that the Pope cannot be married either. Catholics claim Saint Peter to be the first Pope however, the Bible tells us in Matthew where Jesus went to Peter's house and Saint Peter's mother-in-law was sick and Jesus healed her so she that could administer to them. I believe the reason behind no female Pope is because the Bible, in Corinthians, instructs that a woman cannot usurp authority over a man. Also, that a woman is to remain silent in church. If she has any questions, she should wait and ask her husband or the priest later after church.

Why, you big silly. Dint you know that in the desert where Islam, Judaism, and Christianity comes from men were a scared to death of women? They are innately evil and make men do crazy things. So they are chattel. How would YOU like to have YOUR soul ruled by chattel. They are all so grown up and mature, these desert religion people. You wouldn't understand. You are full of Satan's ideas of equality and fairness and evolution and big bang. Mind, I AGREE with you, but I've learned here on R&S that we are just not thinking straight.

women are not supposed to place themselves in any possition of power. not because we are not good enough but because it is wrong to take the place of a man......why is it so hard for women to see that men are not the enemy and there are some things they are meant to do that we as women should leave alone!

There is no "pope" in the Bible. The "pope" isn't Christian, and he isn't saved. He's an unsaved catholic.
Catholics are not saved because they believe a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell (Galatians 1).
